I thought it just dawned
Wasnt it day before yesterday
I saw fireworks and danced shekede

Ah truly its wasted
Like water in a basket
Like a candle in the wind
One day here, next day 'fin'

Hmm, so tomorrow is new year
But to think, how did we get here
Unbelievable though, but if u say so

A lesson need to be learnt here, before you can critique a thing, you must have good knowledge about what you're critiquing.

I know for a fact morganacanta doesn't even know what critique even mean. He couldn't even identify the structure and type of poem posted, before he barged in and showed everyone his total lack of knowledge about what he is even critiquing.

The more he speaks, the more he reveals how empty headed he is when it comes to poetry. LMFAO.

What type of poem is this and what's the structure?

Which rhyme scheme did you use?

And I don't understand the run on lines here? It seem to be in every stanza if I'm not mistaken.

Kindly elucidate please?

Anticipating yet I won't fear
2015 was once my dear
So 2016 please come and I will care
But don't ask for your fare
Promise you won't be hard as stone
Come quickly and take your throne

Sickness, defeat, I did not bargain for

Alas! It ends today
No fear, no panic, no dismay
Seconds, minutes, 2015, your extinction is imminent
New year, new tiding, 2016, our year of providence.

Latter, always better than former

With the way you played down the first poem on this thread, one would expect a masterpiece from you. I am not a critique as such wing of art leaves sour taste to be desired and can thwart the burgeoning confidence of the feeble at heart. Mr, your pen is still young! as evidenced by the tasteless piece above!
