Estharfabian:You were trying to make sense but I did not say you didn't make sense....sounds more like a teenager I should terminate here but I think teens have started experiencing puberty....do you compare a female cycle with that of a male? true marriage is not compulsory even from the biblical perspective. But saying you don't know why the lady is often pressured to get married in her 30s is not a wise comment. Especially now that some are experiencing menopause at 37. Giving birth after your early thirties is not joke especially when both of you are looking at four kids.....+2 age diff. gives you what.......ensure you sit properly think quite well before you post your next comment......sweet dreams 7 Likes |

can you explain how you'll conceal your search for a partner at 30? this falls into the category of "open secret". unless you knock off about 5 or more years from your age sha, just saying. i am not referring to celebrities plz, dont go and do photoshoot or interview because you saw something on nairaland. |

Estharfabian: I like to think the OP is a pragmatist ( at least with regard to the issue of single mature ladies). Unfortunately, the society stigmatises ladies that are still single in their 30s and beyond never minding how subtle it is done. So, here comes the OP with a lil contribution on how the issue should be tackled. I don't think he/she should be taken to task on it. |

refiner: 10 years later, Molly reminded a still single Sally about her statement some 22 years ago while they were at the wedding ceremony of her (Molly) daughter. You see, Molly had three years on Sally. Of course, she didn't mean harm by her comment She was just shall we say reminiscing? Sally wasn't sweating it though just that the champagne in her glass started tasting like urine all of a sudden and the flashing stones adorning her neck looked and felk like gravel caressing her skin and when she happened to look at the picture of her lovely house on her IPhone 6 which by the way seemed transformed to a torch-light phone all of a sudden, the mansion just looked like a derelict mud house. Estharfabian: Nice one at exercising restraint. It is one of the sterling qualities of a true intellectual. @ ladies having expiry dates, I believe it is dependent on what perspective one considers it. Maybe he meant ability to conceive and safely birth a child, a situation that gets more dire as a woman ages and approaches menopause ( of course there are those that 'get away'). Considering that the average woman regards being a biological mother a blessing ( biological in the sense that she brought forth the baby via all the agony that comes with the great 'push' as opposed to being a surrogate or adopted mother), then the expiry issue premised on age becomes a big deal. For the chaps, expiry comes with increasingly decreased sexual prowess with age irrespective of a high libido (fortunately or otherwise depending on one's view they've got Viagra and Cialix amongst others to fix the issue). But then we all know it is just a quick fix that is not all inclusive. But sexual issues aside, me thinks there isn't an expiry date for both sexes til we pass on as we can keep learning and developing ourselves and others til we are old and grey (in fact the older we get the wiser we supposedly become save those who are hopeless morons even at old age-yes, there is always the exception and they always prove the rule too).
