babythug: I will advice you watered the grass on daily basis either early in the morning before sun rises or later in the evening when the sun is no longer visible. Water can never be too much for grass. 1 Like |

babythug: I have great memories of carpet grass! I also recall it needed a lot of watering and I hope you don't have snakes in the area sha (they love sleeping under carpet grass). Well done o! Your place is really shaping up, happy for you. 2 Likes |

State of my carpet grass! It's mostly turned green now but isn't filling up as quickly as I hoped it would.... No retreat no surrender! Landscaping aka gardening isn't for the faint hearted. The bush there is called west indies flowers or something like that. Im trying to grow it into a hedge . My gardener who is now AWOL said something about tying it so it grows horizontally into the said hedge and then we can begin trimming. Does any one here have any ideas about how that works? Trust the rains are being kind to our gardens? Xoxo

babythug: To have a proper hedge, I recommend you plant more of the plant side by side. With a distance of 2 meters-ish. You can even start with the trimming now. (I don’t know how to explain how you should trim on words) however it shouldn’t be casual. However if you need a garden scissors, we can supply. For gardeners/ farmers 1 Like

Hello flower lovers. This thread has given me so much joy and it awoke the love for flowers my mum planted in my heart as a kid Due to an impending relocation and the fact I'm the only flower person in my home, I'll be giving out all my plants for free. If you stay around the Ajah axis in Lagos and you'll like to have them, feel free to pm me and we'll arrange a pick up. I'll post some pics. That's my first plant. She deserves to be posted first 1 Like

babythug:Here are my babies . Those are snake plants. There’s one aloe Vera there too. I tried to regenerate the snake plants by cutting and planting so that they can occupy all that space . But it’s rotting . I guess I’ll have to wait for new plants to shoot out around the old ones and then cut and replant those small ones 1 Like

Olohunjedalo: I was going to upload pictures of my own snake plants that I regenerated but alas my dogs have uprooted them to make a spot where they can literally chill during the day! It’s near my royal palm trees! Don’t even know what to say to the buggers but I will replant them as soon as I get a chance! The royal palm I planted has grown so tall it makes me so excited anytime I pass by it N.B- the decaying snake plants are likely to still bloom that also happened to mine Initially In other news see as grass don grow oh! 1 Like 1 Share
