Family › Re: Would You Allow Your Pastor To Ruin The Joy Of Your First Child by 28Schweet(f): 9:02am On Jun 03, 2010 |
eddy1977: those kinds of prophecies only happen in africa. most of our pastors mix our african traditions with theology.if your friend really believes that his dad is behind his wife's misfortunes ( which is an insult),then he should ask the pastor to deliver the father of these diabolical forces.
a ten month old pregnancy can be explained scientificaly.in fact most first time mother deliver their babies on the 41st week of pregnancy. car accident and disabilities are just instances of life.
tell you buddy to cool off and avoid the so-called PASTOR thank you for the voice of reason, a pregnancy is actually ten months, legally where I'm at, you're allowed to carry until 42 weeks if the baby doesn't want to make it's appearance, medical intervention would only be sought after 42 weeks, SMH @ ur friend denying his mother and father their grand child, what kind of Christians are they; that they won't believe God will see them through even if THEIR FATHER harbours ill will for them |
Romance › Re: Contraception - Do Our Naija Women Believe It Is A Bad Thing? by 28Schweet(f): 8:27am On Jun 03, 2010 |
queeneve: Contraception causes a lot of fertility issues in women and not only fertility issues there are addition side effects that may or may not be known. I always encourages my clients to use Natural birth control if they are with one partner and committed relationship preferably married. However, I know the rise of fornication predates marital intimacy so I always encourage a test before intimacy and effective condoms.
However, condoms does not prevent HPV (Human Papiloma Virus) warts or lesions that causes cervical cancer in women. There are host of diseases that are not protected by condoms and I strongly suggest one faithful partner or abstinence (no intimacy until marriage).
The natural birth control is called Billings Method, which is simply avoiding intimacy during a woman peak stage during her cycle. The safest time for intimacy is the day of her last period up to ten days depending on how long her menses cycle some women cycle lasts 28 days until menstruation and some women 31 days so the best thing to do is count her cycle starting from her last day to the first day of her period record that and also look in her panties during the 10th day after her period to check for mucus if the mucus is thick that her fertility peak. Fertility peak usually last 3-4 days depending on her cycle.
Health is more important then pleasure. heaven am i glad ur practicing your quak mentality where ever it is ur @, I suggest you research a bit before posting such myopic views. FYI, condoms when used correctly can prevent and minimise the risk of STD's including HPV. Most STD's are trasmitted via bodily fluids, e.g. semen, saliva & blood. the genital warts come out because the blood is infected and the wart is a side effect of whatever STD. In your natural birth advocating time, do you also tell your 'clients' that ovulation times change, that hormone levels sometimes dip, or do you give them ovulation test kits. I suggest you say to your clients they abstain altogether, rather than playing Russian roulette with their lives. Pregnancy isn't the only result of unprotected sex you know, Ebonyeyes: The pill has a hosts of side-effects some of which include; * Nausea, vomiting, constipation, or bloating * Irregular menstruation and spotting * br3ests swelling or tenderness * Decreased libido * Weight gain or loss of appetite * Mood swings, anxiety, nervousness or depression * Changes in womanly discharge and womanly infections * Headaches, dizziness and fatigue * High blood pressure and cholesterol * Acne or permanent discolouration of the face * Fluid retention * Bone density loss * Hair loss or changes in hair growth * Enlarged ovarian follicles
Now before you blame women for sleeping with you try putting a rubber on it. what the women in 'less priviledged' areas of nigeria should do, is advocate the use of IUD's, and other forms of contraception other than pills. the female condom is another option, RISK VS REWARD, SMH @ this. |
Romance › Re: How Many Abortions Have You Commited by 28Schweet(f): 8:05am On Jun 03, 2010 |
Ujujoan: ROTFLMAO
You know contraceptives are used to prevent pregnancies while abortions are used to prevent births! There is no way one can be used in place of the other! If someone decides to abort a pregnancy, that doesn't mean she would rather do it than use a contraceptive!
Admit it, your 'conclusion' is baseless If she'd used contraceptives correctly then the pregnancy wouldn't have happened. In my humble opinion one termination (no matter how morally wrong) is excusable, it's when you cross that 1 to 2 to 3, that it should then be considered murder , because surely one would've learned their lesson. & why pray tell nairalanders, is it only the woman's responsibility to ensure that fertilization does not occur, & why are most guys almost when their girls fall pregnant, zebra543: The question poses for men and women alike. I have to admit the men on this forum are a serious bunch of fools. Abortion is nothing to be proud of, its a traumatic experience and women should refrain from discussing it with these type of men. I wonder where the statistics most of you fools quote come from? It will be almost impossible for a woman to have 15 abortions just like it's almost impossible for a woman to have 14 children! I agree with you on the point of some of the men on this forum, but it's definately possible for a woman to have 14 kids, a woman is fertile @ 10 years old, up until they reach menopause around 50 years. so basically one has 40 years to fall pregnant. one is pregnant for 9 months, and is fertile almost immediately after expulsion of the placenta, so please let us not fool ourselves, one can have 15 terminations, but not surgical terminations because eventually your uterus will suffer rapture, because those abortions will have to be performed on a foetus of more than 12 weeks, because then it's almost fully developed, it just has to 'mature, the medical terminations, (use of pills), one can have every other quarter. I must say I'm shocked at how blase some people are about the termination issue, how it's an accepted norm, especially in a country like Nigeria where religion, tradition and 'supposed' morality is so highly esteemed, |

Romance › Re: Do You Think She's Interested In Me Via This Body Languages by 28Schweet(f): 6:18pm On May 31, 2010 |
lonelydude: Hi All,
I sat beside a pretty lady in church today who was virtually nervous throughout the service. I noticed the following during the service:
1) Anytime I tried talking to her normally, she gave a very brief eye contact and appears as if she ain't listening to me but she was actually, 2) She kept making physical contact with me with her fingers in a way I would think it's a mistake, 3) She even crossed her leg somehow in nervousness. 4) I also noticed she stares at me for long when I'm looking away. 5)I also noticed that when they say praise the Lord, she replies with Amen, lol
The obvious reaction that made me think she might be interested was that when she was about to go pick her nephew from the children section, she stood and carried her bag but after I gave her a quick look, she changed her mind to leave the bag behind. When she came back, I playfully asked her nephew if he enjoyed the service after which I asked for name and that of her nephew to which she obliged. I introduced myself likewise.
The only problem was that she hardly smiled during these whole experience.
Please, do you think she'll be interested? I'm really searching now and church seems to be my best place. I die, if it was in a club or shopping complex, would you be unsure, and would you be hesistant in approaching her? |

Suks: its ok for u to tell him, he actually might nt mind, but luking at marriage , u guyz must be prepared for wat the future holds, if he doesnt mind, wat about his parents, , his friends and family. can he cope wen u start growing wrinkles and he still luking charming cos he is younger, r u for real, it's a two year gap, nothing spectacular in that, @ all u who think the age gap is a problem please advise why that is. Age is nothing but a number, if the girl/guy is suitably matured, practices good sense and has all the qualities that one is looking for in a partner why should the age be a deal breaker. Unless, if the woman is of a matured age, where child bearing is compromised, then may be age can be considered, IF THE GUY still wants children.
