Well in Canada 18000 naira is a months food budget for one person you couldn't rent anything not even a room to live in for that.. Earning minimum wage full time would bring in 10x that. So I wouldn't marry someone who is only working like 12 hours a month to earn so little.

That is usually the problem.... wedding ceremonies takes most of the financial resources of the couple. Cut that out I tell you most couples wld survive even on less.

Marriage shouldn't be seen as a fund raising ceremony or competition amongst friends on whose was well attended or most beautiful or regal. It should be more of loving each other.

Someone asked about paying hospital bills for giving birth, Trust me it would sort itself out when it's time. Be not afraid.

My friend I believe u totally, these things are possible its just that people make things so difficult for themselves. with cheer determination & focus & a loving & understanding lady u can marry with any amount u like & still survive.

I have been following this thread since yesterday night without any urge to comment but since I see that people can learn from here let me say this...U know most big people out there majority of them married when they were earning even less than 18k in value to the naira of those years. Some of these big Prof of these days started as primary school teachers & even married as primary school teachers, what were they earning then? the truth is that we have failed to embrace simplicity as a way of life & the worst of all people become unhappy when they start comparing what they are earning with what other friends & relatives. know one thing if u are diligent with what u are doing now & focused just embrace simplicity & believe in a higher being no matter what your religion call that higher being it gives greater meaning & purpose to human life. Don't be afraid to make adjustments like living in d suburb of the town instead of the metropolis where cost of living is higher u may need to pay upto 3 times to buy some things u need u must not pay everything at once. Just don't loose focus u can only see your today never your tomorrow so live in d present. And know this "only what u have experienced is truly your own experience. cheers

everything is possible pending on d family U're getting married frm & d lady in question also d lady & family must see potentials in u as a guy in d nearest future & more still, sum women cum wit special grace dat attracts God's favour on demselves & whoeva marries dem........i remember we started frm a single room wit leaking roof, No tv, no anytin xcept bed but wit time tinz started taking turns we nw av a 4bedroom family hauz I cruise in a highlander up & dwn here in abj & fankz to ma mum who wuz able to stand on sum decisions tru God's grace in her & W're still enjoying sum of dos benefits till nw..........above all dunt sideline God in all ur dealings......we must blow
