1. An entrepreneur is a starter. An entrepreneur is an initiator, a challenger and a driver. Someone that creates something new, either an initiative, a business or a company. He or she is the beginning (and sometimes the end) of a venture, project or activity. The entrepreneur might not be the ideator, but he or she is definitely the one that decides to make that idea a reality.

2. An entrepreneur is the driver. The entrepreneur is the person in charge, the leader and the person to look to for leadership. He or she is the one that pushes forward and inspires a team to follow. The entrepreneur is the one that sits in the driver’s seat, and has the ability to change direction, accelerate, slow down or even stop a venture.

3. An entrepreneur is accountable and responsible . entrepreneur is the ultimate responsible for the destiny of its venture, which can be a company, a project, or any other endeavor. The entrepreneur is the one that has the highest stakes at the venture, thus the one that needs to be empowered to fully direct the endeavor.

Entrepreneurship is more than financial gains

We tend to associate entrepreneurship with direct financial benefits and risk, but not only when the entrepreneur has equity in the company, he or she is exposed to the financial upsides and downturns. Corporate ventures and corporate entrepreneurship allows “corporate entrepreneurs” to benefit of the upsides of their projects without having equity stakes.
Corporate entrepreneurship does exist

Passion is the real drive

There is another element that really dwells at the center of any entrepreneur: passion! An entrepreneur possesses an interior fuel and stamina that drives his or her actions; this superior energy helps to overtake and surpass the different challenges and it injects strength to continue pursuing goals when difficulties arise. Anyone can be an entrepreneur and behave like one- regardless of whether or not they happen to be an equity holder. Ultimately, it’s all about the attitude when running the show.

Being An Entrepreneur is More About Sacrifice Than Freedom or Riches
People like to dream about what you get when you choose to become an entrepreneur.

An exciting lifestyle.
The freedom to travel.
Passive income.

But what about what you give up ?

Don’t forget to factor into those dreams all the sacrifices that one must make to become an entrepreneur.

You can’t wait to quit your 9 to 5, but you don’t realize that you are most likely replacing it with a 9 to 9 (and in some cases for 6 or 7 days a week).

You’re ready to take more vacations and work from anywhere, but if you don’t spend years hustling beforehand you won’t have the income to support it.

Even mobile phone app programmers and developers, which are in one of the hottest and fastest growing industries around, are still struggling to make a living .

You Have to Sacrifice Something

I haven’t met a single entrepreneur that didn’t sacrifice something when they were first starting out. Most often people give up a better paying job, health insurance, and retirement benefits but it usually goes much deeper than that.

Entrepreneurs often don’t have the freedom to “leave work at work”. I know many that are “always on” (myself included). They need to consciously force themselves to stop thinking about the work that they do because they enjoy it so much.

When you are trying to make ends meet as an entrepreneur it is also hard to give yourself time off because if YOU aren’t working than YOU aren’t getting paid or moving any closer to where you want to be.
Many others give up time with their family (the very reason a lot people think “working from home” is so great) or delay having kids entirely.

The same goes for owning a home. It’s much harder to get a loan these days when you are self-employed than if you are a typical salaried employee. Underwriters want to make sure you run a proven and profitable business over the past couple years.

And lastly, most entrepreneurs actually downgrade their lifestyle to work for themselves, not the other way around. They live with roommates or parents, eat ramen for dinner, or move to the cheapest countries in the world just so they can do work that matters.

All this to say: being an entrepreneur isn’t always glamorous.

You’ll need to give up something you want to do the work you are passionate about!!!.

This is great, you made salient points Op.
But like they say, talk is cheap.
In my opinion, most people pickup "entrepreneurship" just for the convenience of having quick returns, and this is very unstable. I have seen people who dont even know the difference between the profit they made from certain ventures, and the money they were supposed to re invest. Most people take it all as profit and just enjoy the fact tht it sometimes comes in lump sums.
Id say, people need to learn the difference between Entrepreneurship, and engaging in Temporary profitable ventures. The former requires proper systems and processes. Also, a trustworthy team with a shared vision is needed cos no 1 can handle all the responsibilities alone. It takes time, it takes patience and alota zeal, but if done properly, it works. Truth is, there is no comfort in Entrepreneurship, it actually requires more efforts. Only good things are flexibility, watching your creation come to life and answering to yourself...

There's a very BIG difference between an Entrepreneur and an Employee. In life we make our choices to decide where we want our current actions to lead us to in future.

Below are the Major differences they won't teach you in school.

* Having control over your work schedule means that you can choose when to take time off and work the schedule that suits you best.

* Entrepreneurs are able to make all
of the decisions relating to their company themselves; they have complete control. This allows for a huge degree of independence and
a chance to shape one’s own career.

* Entrepreneurship can offer levels of fulfilment and achievement that are hard matched by any other type of employment. A great idea teamed with passion and commitment will certainly help a new entrepreneur overcome many
of the challenges posed by starting their own business.

To help you figure out what works best for you, here are some questions I invite you to answer:

1. What does your dream TASK (or set of tasks) look like?
2. What environment best lends itself to that task – working on your own, or working in a team/company?
3. If you’re looking for freedom and independence but need financial security – how can you create more space for entrepreneurship (or intrapreneurship) & creativity in or outside your job?
4. If you’re looking for financial security & contact with colleagues but not a job – in what ways can you create more regular contact with peers and monthly ‘ set’ streams of income as an entrepreneur?

-IDEAS RELATING TO QUESTION!!!-
1. My dream task (or set of tasks) is me working one-on-one, or with groups of women to facilitate them as they work on creating a more fulfilling work/life.

2. I’ve done this both as an employee and as an entrepreneur.

3. In the past – by working in a company that prided itself asking its staff to be entrepreneurial and innovative. And by flexing my entrepreneurship muscles as a Board Member to a professional women’s association or as a freelance graphic designer on the side.

4. Now – by creating more Ecourses (and maybe offering them at set time tables after all) and by having set timeframes during which I’ll work with one group of clients. Also, by connecting with other coaches and working together on something with a peer.

-BUSINESS IDEA[Staff relocation advice platform]

Many expats are pouring into Africa to get their slice of an economy with incredible growth potential. Also we have local companies who relocate their staff from one location to the other.

The problem these people face (and the companies that send them) is the obvious one of relocating their staff or themselves. Things like visas, permits, housing, schooling, and so
on, are always problematic.
It’s not a logistical problem, but an informational one. Who to contact, where to start, where to go?
Yes, there are big companies that have been working in Africa for decades that have staff relocating systems and support structures in place. But, most companies or individuals need to start from scratch and have to piece the relocation information together from various experts.
So, become a one stop shop for staff relocation advice. Imagine a website you can log on to that tracks every step of the process.

To bring down the start-up costs, you can do this in two stages:

1. Start with digital guides (PDF files, designed nicely, and packed with quality up-to-date information)

2. Once up and running, expand your site to a web platform where clients can track every step, review quotes for various services and tap into immediate online expert support

For inspiration look at Move Guides - https://www.moveguides.com/solutions-by-function-employees. Take this model and apply it to Africa and you will have companies and individuals queuing up.
The business model: Start selling the guides as digital guides, then flip the model to a monthly subscription once you have the web platform going.

Comparing a forex trader to a paid job,
Well initially, the paid job seems to lead, but after a duration of 5 years, the paid job would be begging to work with a forex trader.
Ask Warren, he's number 3 forbes richest, wink
