Jonathan is an intelligent man he knew the economy of the country will worsen due to the way his corrupt cabinets is embezzling the nation's resources thats why he relinquished the power and our fulani brother was happy to be in control. who are people blaming now Jonathan or Buhari?

Why do we like turning logic on it head. I guess ignorance should be responsible. Jonathan never said he solved all our problems but he took steps that resulted in tangible achievements and beneficial reforms. If you are unbiased and objective, no one needs to tell you the truth in his saying. Today, Amaechi is singing like a bird on Jonathan's achievements that he said during the campaign never existed; Fashola the same with roads n power. Look at the govt with conflicting statements on arm purchase; at one point, no arm was purchased; at another time, arms purchased were sub-standard and finally, the military came out to clear the air that the arms they are using in fighting Boko haram are not sub-standard. And yet the same Lai Mohammed said the military has "technically defeated" boko haram and none of his gullible followers asked with what weapons? because the govt is yet to procure arms.

This is not about Jonathan or Buhari or APC or PDP but the individual who failed to use his sense of judgement to think critical before accepting anything but out of parochial sentiment and prejudices prefer to be myopic and accept lies and propaganda to glaring facts and truth no matter how obvious. If this is not stupidity, I don't know what is!

APC said Jonathan did nothing for six years but the same APC is going round the country identifying with his works n projects. And yet their gullible followers.
want to remain with the campaign propaganda that Jonathan did nothing; how can such individuals be helped? Let stick to facts and not sentiment; truth is everlasting but a lie only last for awhile.

I keep laughing when I hear people talk about this jonathan. What else would you've expected him to say? When you eat sour moimoi what do u expect.
He wrecked this country, he knew the damage he has caused and could easily predict the hardship nigerian will possibly pass through due to his inept governance. He only prophesy his own failure.

He didn't have to be a prophet. He knew that the crude price was falling lower and lower. He also knew that nigerians where shortsighted, with short memory and would quickly forget what they have lost or where they could have been if they had not stolen everything stole able.

He also knew that nigerians are like the Israelite that forgot the pains and hardship they passed through in Egypt and wanted to go back there just because of the hardship of crossing wilderness to the promise land and by so doing, they quickly forget what gain whatever they have gotten by being freed from slavery
exactly, that's why wr call the weillers.

The fact that you pose that question shows you are clueless. You are asking what GEJ did for Nigeria economy? You must be a felon from Sudan.

Then you do not know the basics of the whole thing. Why don't you ask economists to educate you on this very important issue and how it affects the price of dollars?
Are you kidding? so its the crude oil price that is affecting the naira? are we the only nation depending on returns from oil sales?
Re: Was Ex-president Jonathan A Prophet When He Said This? by rottennaija(m): 11:04pm On Feb 20, 2016
Arnoldo:

Thats why I asked an economist educate u. The country is more important driven than export. Fuel, kerosene, technology, schools, you just can name it and all this are driven in dollars where nothing much to export there making the Naira weak. When the crude high, it was good but now crude is everywhere causing the price to crash and since we depend more on exporting crude than anything else, the Naira suffers.

What the last government did was year was to use the foreign reserve to defend the dollars, each time the Naira falls, they pay for it with the foreign reserve. But the foreign reserve is so low that this present govt cannot subsidise the dollar for nigerians, if they touch the foreign reserve, them Nigeria is as good as dead because it's the foreign reserve that gives the investor the need confidence to come into your country to invest. You can think of it as the capitalisation in the banking industry.

So, the present govt hv to take some bold step, hard decision which affects the dollars and naira. Banning some goods from and if anyone needs such importation, he will have to source for his own dollars to import it, but again, you know nigerians, they will inflate the price and so that is why the dollars is rising, not the official rate but only in the parallel market.

The dollars in the official market is only used by the government to support industries and companies, not for some petty importation or paying of school fees abroad or travel for vacations
