Hope that dumb and clueless Finance Minister who could not add 16+6 will not go and advise Buhari to sign a document with wrong figures like $10b while the actual loan is just $2b.

Only if Buhari uses public flight......

His numerous trips would have fetched him a GOLD mileage card

The demented Daura septuagenarian acts as if he knows it all

If you see how buhari presented the padded budget with TWO HANDS.... Who could have known that Buhari didn't know what is inside it.

Then his blind friends called the budget the best since the creation of Nigeria.

With the number of hours and mileage covered so far he would have been a life time "platinum" customer.

An advance team headed by the finance minister is expected to travel to Negotiate the loan and President Buhari would travel to China to sign the loan in March, Chinese TV's website, cctv-africa.com has reported.

According to the report "President Muhamadu Buhari recently presented an ambitious budget to Nigeria’s parliament. At 30 Billion dollars, it is the highest Budget proposal in Nigeria’s history.

"Analysts think Buhari’s administration is attempting to spend its way out of recession by investing a huge chunk of the budget in infrastructure but he doesn’t have access to funds for that. The deficit stands at $5 billion for now but it could rise up to $15 as Buhari’s administration plans to spend billions on infrastructure and uplifting social service.

"Nigeria’s economy has been contracting consistently for more than a year – Rapidly falling oil prices taking a toll on the economy.Crude oil accounts for 90% of the country’s exports and 70% of its earnings.

"Development expert Jayi Gaskia thinks Nigeria needs the loans for immediate budgetary support but a major bailout could be imminent unless a resurgence in crude oil prices happens soon.

Because we need far more money than what we have saved.

In brief Nigeria needs oil to be at $123 per barrel to balance the books.

Right now...oil is a t $32 per barrel.

Hence the borrowing. Once you are dependent on one resource...and the price of the resource goes down....you have to borrow to balance the books.

That is why Nigeria and you Nigerians need to stop looking for free money, imported goods...and work on developing an indstrial economy....so that you can be like China and give loans to the max.

By 2014 July...we had $32 bn in our account. Saudi had $724 bn in their account. And Saudi spent $124bn out of that just to prop up their economy. Even then....they are raising taxes, and removing subsidy on fuel.

I recall one time when Diezani Allison Madueke traveled with a large delegation on one of GEJ's trips out. Thought it was a waste...until I read in detail what the delegation was for.

I have stopped critiquing foreign trips of our presidents since.

There is a reason why presidential visits are necessary. Deals must be discussed simultaneously in several sectors....and invest, ents must be made....and a simple fax machine won't cut it.

nigeria needs at least 20bn investment in infastructure, 2bn is a good start

Unfortunately Buhari is very DISQUALIFIED and incapable of delivering on those two highlighted points.

- He is IMPORTING German BMW cars instead of buying Innosson, Nissan, Kia etc that are made in Nigeria.

LaurelP:
Presidency votes N3.6b for BMW cars in Budget 2016
Foodstuff, others to get N427.5m

A FLEET of new exotic cars is on the way for the Presidency.

The BMW salon cars for principal officers are likley to cost N3,630,000,000, going by the 2016 budget for the Presidency. The number of the cars is not specified.

Besides, N189.1m is voted for tyres for various vehicles, including the bulletproof and plain Mercedes Benz cars being used in the Presidency.

The expenditure on tyres is to cover other brands of vehicles, including Toyota cars, trucks, Land Cruiser Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs), Prado SUVs, Hilux pick-up vans, Peugeot 607 and 406 cars, ambulances and others broadly described as “ utility and operational vehicles”.

President Muhammadu Buhari will, in the next fiscal year, likely spend N1,415,706,197 on both local and international travels and transportation, as against the N944,672,109 spent in 2015 by him and his predecessor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, on travels and transportation.

As against this year’s N24.4 billion allocation, the Presidency, voted N39 billion in the 2016 national budget.

The chief Dullard of the federation is still gallivanting, You'll agree with me that bugarri just want to enjoy himself at the expense of taxpayers (including his zombies) money, The man clearly has nothing to offer to the masses. Now this trip is to get another loan, *in Almajiri voice* - "zat is wonderpull".

Well, it's a good thing if you look at it from the other side, Because anytime he's away, Good things happen. See our Naira is rebounding.

Well....duh.What did you expect.?

GEJ never took loans. But he never had to deal with oil prices below 100 dollars for most of his regime.

(Keep in mind that Nigeria needs oil at $123 to be free from loan taking.Oil is at $32.You do the math.).

Nigeria is taking loans because we are oil dependent. Sad.

You should not criticism the taking of the loans. See what Buhari uses the loans for. If they get wasted....critique away. For now.....let us hope they are spent on projects that get us off oil dependency.

Well...the problem with Innoson's cars (and I think he is on track,,...Innoson that is)...is that they are made using parts that have been imported from abroad.

Same for Nissan and Kia.

So....even if we went there....it would still be the same as buying the BMW.

(And anyway....I think that Buhari does not even need to buy new cars from anywhere right now).

The 36 state governors got their share of the Niger Delta oil revenue under Jonathan.
The 36 governors also got the Excess Crude Account, ECA, not so
Yet they took loans and did NOTHING. Unlike Jonathan who did a lot.
Many of the 36 governors could not even pay SALARIES. shocked

Why is Bubu disappointing me like this

I hope and pray he doesn't get the loan...
He should sit at home first...

Why does he have this mentality that the solution to Nigeria's problems is outside Nigeria...

He believes we can't just get it right on our own...
