Seize

Actually you're wrong, he's right.

"Cease"which can mean "come or bring something to an end" is the right word to use not "seize" means to take hold of something suddenly and violently.

Pls you need to go back to sleep. So you mean he needs to put an end to an opportunity or what? Just read the sentence again and then make another good use of that same google you mentioned.

You can do this after you wake up o.

.Stop misleading People and make sure you do Proper research before you talk authoritatively

The correct thing is 'Seize the/an Opportunity'. It's an idiomatic expression. Use 'Cease' at your own Peril

A word is enough for the Wise!

The problem is not with the organization! It is with you the applicant... when employers say they are looking for xyz number of years of experience it doesn't necessarily have to be in that field exactly they just want to make sure that you have been busy with a lot of stuffs either on the set job or a personal development.
No company wants to hire a rusty applicant.
You have to find something creative doing as you hunt for job. setting down at home and complaining that you just graduated and they are expecting you to have 3 years experience, what it simply means is during your IT period what did you? During 2nd semester breaks what were you doing? all these are the experience they are asking you for.

yeah... but in the real sense what they are asking is if you do have experience at all in something...Just to show them that in your spare time you where productive and not idle

How can you say he's wrong? The right word in this context is 'seize' and not 'cease'. Something ceases (end/finish) to exist! One seizes (grab/grasp) an opportunity. You dig now?
