Next time leave the phone in rice for a minimum of 2-3 days. Bury it inside the bag and tie the bag too.

Have you considered signing out completely, then do a reboot. Before you sign in again?

Your comment is not clear. Don't you still have your Mi Account signed in on the phone?

My guess will be since you already deleted device from the Mi site, then also delete the Mi Account on the phone too.

Thereafter you can add your preferred Mi Account again after a reboot.

Did he put it in rice after removing the SIM/SD Card tray for a couple of days? That's the first aid for phones that fell into water.

He should take it to a good technician for opening and proper cleaning & dying.

There is Find My Device for your Google Account & Find My Device for your Mi Account.

I recall you showing screenshots of you experimenting how the Mi Account works when that function is activated on a locked phone, and you eventually used the deleted device option along the line.

As you can see you skipped that of Google Account thus it is still active.

Not at all. It's like pale green dominated . I just put it in my pocket only to see that the colours were washed after checking after that. I tried to Google solutions but similar solutions said it's software problem and can be corrected on next updates.

Are you using a custom ROM? If so it's probably messed up your display hardware

i used from iphone 6 to 7plus and i weep for the isheeps. the 7plus was no match for my redmi note 4x in handling tasks. when i sold it off, i was expecting the buyer to complain, no complain whatsoever, they are used to a laggy phone

Wow that's news to me.. tbh I haven't ever used one before... And I've never had to factory reset a device unless to sell out or give to my younger ones

Factory resetting a phone after update is just a faux. I don't even bother whenever I update my phone.

It may probably need a reboot and some patience to have the system re-calibrate itself, that's why people whine about battery shortly after an update rather than taking a chill pill.

you just ordered Chinese version which has no any google app pre-installed,unless you can flash in global ROM but my advise is to go for global version to avoid story that touches the heart
