okikiosibodu: I know of launchers that wake a phone up by double tapping, but not making it sleep. I am also curious to know such Double tap to wake up is a system feature and not controlled by any launcher. Granting "device admin" authorization to a launcher can give it the ability to lock the device. So I grant this authorisation then set my double tap gesture of the launcher to lock the device. Note: keyword is lock & not sleep. |

okikiosibodu: Eeyah. Thank you. Was discussing with a friend and we had a kind of funny argument. I opined that if nitel was well managed and stil in existence till date, Internet subscription would hav been freaking cheap cos there would have been mad ass competition between private telcos and government telcos, with government own having a tendency of providing cheaper service. So the private ones will be forced to make more enticing offers.... Do you subscribe to this school of thought? Ntel is still in operation na |

But am thinking every new SIM is automatically in the Oga SIM category and it is not written when you check your balance. Read the explanation by okikiosibodu |

BoleAndFish:
I basically use button shortcut for lock screen and screenshot and they're all available in quickball. I don't even have to press power button again to switch off the phone anymore. Quickball got everything covered. It's simply amazing!! I use gestures and I still do all those even without quickball All my launchers support double tap homescreen to lock & 3 fingers swipe from top of the screen is for screenshot. Let's just say I hate buttons |

Sultan5: Thanks for the tip about Wifi and Bluetooth scanning, didn't know. Gestures are what I use for navigation. Its fun watching most people who haven't used MiUi try to navigate through the phone.
I wanted to get a screen guard but I heard those ones with black borders would cover the notification light on the bezel. So I didn't, as that was the only type I saw. Is there a different type of screen guard for this phone without the black borders?
Am guessing you got the blue coloured one, I did too. The beauty is out of this world really. Down side is I can't dare use it outside without the pouch because of how slippery it is.
Thanks for the warm welcome. It's feels amazing being a member of the Xiaomi family. Get a tampered glass for that phone, better be safe than sorry. If your device is RN7 then galaxy A20 tampered glass almost fits it perfectly. You can be using that while you await order for an original tp glass |

Fallacies of the highest order. Stop listening to people talking about a device they've not laid eyes on or talk about only based on "dem say". ityP: I escorted a friend of mine to buy a new phone. He wanted Infinix s4. He had already removed the cash for the 6/64GB version (53k). But then, i went to check the notice board to see other phones and i saw Xiaomi. I was shocked. So i called him and advised him to get the RN7(3/32GB) for 58k. He never heard of Xiaomi. He said he would go for the 4/64 GB version. When we went to the stand, i saw the Mi A3. I advised him to go for it instead of the RN7. He did and even bought the 4/128GB version for 79900. I just hope he doesn't regret the choice. Cos them go laugh me for school tire Laugh you?! Are they madt?

Biafrareform: I saw from review that there is no infrared in Mi 9t, Mi 9, K2 Pro, meaning no universal remote.
Please recommend a phone with infrared between the range of 80-100 aside note 8 and Mi CC9
Currently using Redmi note 7 and I want to upgrade. The RAM of this 4G is annoying
If you are using Mi A3, please I need your review. The opinion I am seeing isn't encouraging You can still get those top range smartphones and get an infrared adapter, if it's a must to use infrared on the device. I don't see why just because of old tech you're willing to miss out on good stuff

shosky1794: But stealing IP got them a $6bn valuation. Never knew they were worth up to that. They've really made a kill in the African market. The board must be greedy. Since they were already raking in big bucks over the years what stops them from upping their game? Instead it is Man City endorsement and marketing that was the priority |

genius43: They made alot of profit seeing there pricing of phones with less than average specs knowing they had little or no competition in that price segment The writer of that article sure put their strategy in glaring terms. They scrap old and outdated tech, probably at dirt-cheap prices too and flood the African market. No wonder they still use MTK chipset of 4 plus years ago on 2019 smartphones. Sadly ignorant buyers will be like they're caring for the African, non techy customer by offering low cost smartphones. Pure scam if you ask me. |

Reddington: Sure Mi band 4 is awesome. However my only problem with it is the design...It has this 'toyish' look despite its incredible features. The look is not even remotely close to what you call a watch, which, I guess, is why it's called "band" in the first place. I personally prefer the smartwatch design. Fitbit is what Mi band 4 should be. It's arguably the best... Very popular in the US, but very expensive. My uncle uses it. Mi band 4 is called a "band" for obvious reasons. Fitbit has similar bands too so they're all competing products. If you want a a square sized Xiaomi smartwatch, there's Amazfit |

StRichard: it is trackable. I opened dispute because it was returned to the seller. It was not returned. You should be less bothered by the wordings during the tracking provided the item is moving, most times the translation from mandarin to English can be misleading. Follow the updates sequentially and you'll see the update states it is leaving Shenzhen for Guangzhou. Even if you reject, the seller is not obligated to make any refund until it gets to 60 days or so, by which you must have received your item. Be patient. |
