Let me ask, is your problem the fact that he asked for money OR the reason for asking for the money.

Apparently, when some ladies catch their bf "cheating", if the guys take them on holiday or buys some expensive stuffs for them, they tend to forgive.

Because the guy decide to ask instead of waiting for you to use your initiatives, you had to take him to the people's court for judgement.
