Guys, do you guys remember this news back in the days?MAY 10, 2016

Nigerian Talents Await Liverpool Decision After Trials; Ex-Porto Starlet Njoku, Suleiman Catch The Eye

Nigerian talents Jacob Njoku, Chidera Ejike, Suleiman Muhammad and Charles Ezeh ended their trials with English Premier League side Liverpool on Sunday, May 8, and will discover in the coming weeks if they will be offered contracts.

According to Jos-based intermediary Babawo Mohammed, ex-Porto youth-teamer Jacob Njoku and Gee Lec Football Academy winger Suleiman Muhammad caught his eye during a test game but a decision on whether or not the players will be offered deals has not been made.

“They finished the trials this Sunday, Liverpool will have to go through the report before deciding whether to sign them,”said Babawo Mohammed to allnigeriasoccer.com.

“I watched one of their trial games, they all did well, most especially Suleiman and Njoku. They will return to Nigeria next week.”

If eventually they are offered contracts, the youngsters will join the likes of Sheyi Ojo, Jordon Ibe, Tiago Ilori and Ovie Ejaria, who all have Nigerian descent, on the books of the Reds.

Sorry but in this occasion your taking Absolutely utter dross.

In the EPL many teams have fielded teams with sometimes not a single English players.

Indeed most of the teams in the EPL are dominated by Foreign players.

Nwakali was at Arsenal with probably more Nigerian origin players than most club's barring Chelsea.

I went to an U18 match years ago with Chelsea and Reading some of the players were barking out instructions in Igbo. I nearly fell over in shock

That's U18 not the senior teams...

How many of them get professional contracts and how many of them get released by the clubs..

if a player as bad as bonke can secure a move to the french ligue 1 then nwakali needs to do more because its obvious something tangible other than passing is missing in his game

How is Bonke bad? Started all UCL games this season.

Enough is enough moderators shouldn’t tolerate such unverified accusations because the effect can be long lasting and irredeemable. This is how, Nigerians single handedly destroyed uzoho career trajectory with age falsification accusations. Enough is enough!
