So Rohr should have been left at the helms permanently even when the team was regressing?

Hiring and firing is part of coaching..even some of the very best coaches get fired every now and then...it doesn't take away the quality of the manager. There are too many examples.

Rohr would definitely get jobs on the continent. Maybe one would also ask why Burkina Faso had to fire Rohr at some point.

Finide George that can not coach Enyimba . Is now the third Assistant coach . The only thing I just see is the inclusion of Ike Shoromu in the goal keeping department I could have prefer Vincent Enyeama as our goal keeping Coach Trainer in the national team
What do you mean by this?

The problem in this country is that we don't learn any lesson from our mistake . We like repeating the same mistake all the time. How many times those ladan Bosso want to coach the under 20 national team . I will not be surprised in the near future Austin Egwoavon will come back and still coach the super eagle's and Sunday Oliseh

Sure we're good in recycling failed coaches
This ex internationals that became less average coaches can't coach any team elsewhere other than the super eagles

Sir,Rohr that was struggling against Sierra Leone,CAR and Cape Verde in his late stage with eagles....oh you think with Rohr we would have beaten Egypt in our opening match.

Sometimes I wonder if it same individual (Rohr) we are referring to.

The team was already a ticking time bomb under Rohr, just waiting for the right moment to capitulate.

There's this feeling you get when u take a bath with warm water during the harmattan..As the water first touch your body, you feel warm, then within seconds, that feeling fades and the cold return... That was how the super eagles was under Rohr.
The man started well, then he refused to adapt to modern tactics and playing nonsense...That was when the team started to regress...Keeping him won't have done us any much good.. It isn't like Rohr has won anything in any of the teams he has coached in the past..He simply didn't have the pedigree that would have made us vouch for him to turn the team fortunes around...

Rohr is like a Nine Eleven truck driver of 25 years experience. He knows his truck. He knows when to use gear one...when climbing a hill..when to put off the engine when going down hill...he knows how to utilize his truck..its not beautiful but he delivers. Eguavoen thought he was driving a ferari...we broke down.

U-13/15: Patrick bassey
U-17: Nduka Ugbade to be assisted by Ahmad Dankoli and Omoniyi Haruna Ilerika
U-20: Ladan Bosso to be assisted by Fatai Amoo
U-23/Chan eagles: Salisu Yusuf to be assisted by Fatai Osho, Kennedy Boboye, Fidelis Ikechukwu and Ike Anobi as the GK trainer.

The NFF has stated that a new Head Coach for the Super Eagles will be announced and officially unveiled once the processes for his engagement and contract-signing are concluded.

The U23/Chan Eagles is a case of too many cooks spoil the broth. These names are great coaches in their own rights and that means ego problems.

Fidelis should have been moved to U20. He has so much experience right from MFM. Fatai Amoo + Fidelis - Ladan Bosso. That's the best bet for u20.

But oh well
I think they’ll be divided, some will be with the U-23 and some with the home eagles

The problem with some of you guys is that, you focus on performance and not contractual agreement. When Rohr was sacked, I told you guys that, it won’t end well because he met his deliverables. I don’t care whether you lose at home 10-0 to CAR or defeat Egypt 1-0, the question is that, did you meet your objective? I.e qualify for the nations cup, World Cup etc. whoever the new coach is, I hope that Nigerians has learnt their lesson and should judge coaches based on contractual agreement rather than irrelevant results. My intuition is telling me that we haven’t learnt our lesson because prior to Rohr sacking, we treated Amodu unfairly twice

Keep going in circles. We want a team that wins trophies and not just add up the numbers at international tournaments. We will keep sacking those who can't fulfil our dreams. Local or Foreign

This is the same lie some of you keep spreading to justify failure.. There's no such thing as "you don't have the players"
A good coach will know how to properly utilize the players at his disposal... Ghana that knocked us out of the world cup qualifier, which Players did they have? Which players for CAR and Sierra Leone have when they dealt with us?
Look at Barca.. until recently they were playing rubbish which made some people believe that their sqaud was weak without Messi, but look at them now . Ironically,Messi with his star stuffed PSG team are struggling outside of France..

Having good players is one thing, but having a good coach that know how to utilize the players is another thing entirely... Rohr didn't know how to utilize our players.. Eguavon didn't either..They are both gone...Peseiro or whoever take the job will be booted out if they don't deliver too .

Can't understand why we keep appointing individuals who are already managers in the NPFL into the national team.

Seriously?

Keshi had two world class players in Mikel and Victor Moses. Both in the form of their lives and playing for a top club - Chelsea.

Our best player at the moment plays for Leicester.

Keshi had the better team bro.

Sierra Leone and CAR did not deal with us. They were disappointing results but not unusual in football, I will not call it dealing with us.
The most important part of the qualifiers were the matches against C.V away and CAR away and Rohr managed to see us through.
The timing of the sack of bad, the replacement even worse.

In Nigeria, even leaders with good intentions are still not good policymakers. It's all trial and error.

Wonderful

Bro he won us two PKs that shot us into the knockouts. He sent jittery into CIV's defence with a powerful shot in the opening minutes of the game. grin grin

He even assisted with the first goal against Mali in the Semifinals and initiated the move that led to Mba's goal in the final game.
He was a much better player than the Chuks and Simon we have today.

Let's be very realistic. Keshi had a much better team. Even Emenike was a threat because he could shoot at long ranges, and of course he got the first goal against CIV with a powerful shot.

There is not a single player on our team today with the confidence to pack those kind of powerful shots from outside the 18yard box.

I really hope Rohr gets hired by Mali.

Let's see him work his magic elsewhere.

Remember Bonfrere Joe won Gold with us at Atlanta 96 and took the SE to the AFCON Final in 2000 but was fired when things went bad in 2001. That's the nature of the job...let's stop whining about Rohr.
