Akpeyi will remain first choice for now in Rohr's eyes.
Apart from Mikel, Ogu has to be the best passer among our CMs. Sure he's not quick, but he can dictate play from deep better than Onazi or Ndidi. He should've played against SA.
I don't think Rohr will drop Onazi for Ogu.Our Mid-field pairing has been Onazi-Mikel for years. They understand each other and few days of camping can't change that.I would rather prefer Ogu -Ndidi but let's face reality .Ogu might start from the bench likewise Ndidi. The time is too short for experiments. The probability that the new invitees and Ighalo will start from the bench is very high.I don't think Rohr will repeat his mistake with Awaziem.

me to just close eye on dat1
he better as a lwf nd i would pick him ahead of musa nd iwobi(sub)....
I still av d feeling rohr would start musa.......
Rohr does not see Etebo as a LWF and he will always use him in the midfield. However,Musa starting is not a problem and me myself will start him ahead of Moses Simon because Musa is a goal threat and we need goals in the game and not needless dribbling with no good final balls.According to respected journalist Colin Udoh,Moses Simon started ahead of Musa in the S.A game because Musa was fasting and might get tired easily because he is always running.

But it is okay repeating the same mistakes with Echiejile, Onazi and Akpeyi.

obviously you haven't been following the debate no one here is saying ezenwa is the reincarnation Buffon, Thomas Nkono, Peter scmiechel rolled into one. All we have been saying is that ezenwa is the better of the two bad options. To put it simply if hunger dey wire you and your only options are drinking garri or eating one packet of cabin biscuit. No one will tell you to drink the garri so in this case ezenwa is the garri we want to soak and manage

This turn around just because of the Benin game.

Ndidi will start the game.
I'm against the Idea for two reasons,Mikel as AMF is not pacy and Ndidi-Onazi partnership.I will prefer the midfield we played against Algeria.

Lovely formation but I would have preferred Iwobi at the CF instead of Kelechi..
Kelechi can come in as a substitute in the second half.

I like to see versatile forwards and midfielders. Considering match ups, it would be easy for the players to switch positions and be unpredictable.
Both Nwakaeme and Etebo can plays LWFs. Both can also play as CFs. Etebo can drop defensively as well at the midfield. And switch to RWF. Moses can play in both wings. He can even cut in while charging forward. That's dynamism. Between Ndidi and MIkel, we would need a dedicated holding midfielder. Our center backs need that cover. With Etebo and Moses at the wings, I think our not too dependable (defensively) full backs will get some support.

In Alampasu, we are see our own version of Donnarumma -- well, hopefully. And that would be the end of our era of average benchwarming goalkeepers..

oya make una come fight

This is where Rohr's selection headache comes, our "mid-field".It decides whether we win or loose.

listening to Anthony nwakeme live on brilla FM now, he said john ogu spoke to rohr about him and then rohr called him few weeks ago and told him to keep doing well till he got a call up.
says he is up to the task if given the chance and the opposition's jam body won't bother him having played for years in ajegunle.

To be honest,I won't mind playing Iwobi as CF,SS,No.10 or even CMF. anywhere but not on the wings..
Iwobi doesn't have the primary skill required for a winger (speed). He hardly runs forward to launch an attack..he is goof at passes tho. but that's it.. Iwobi can play 90 mins in a game and won't get one shot even if its oof target..
I'm a big fan of Iwobi(tho I'm not a gunner) but he is yet to replicate the form that saw him burst into limelight 2 seasons ago.
