The modern game is tilting towards highly possessive/offensive style of play. We need the best person that understands and can impart it on the players. That will bring the best of the players and Amunike is the best for that.

What’s the point of all that possession if it leads to nothing
By the end of the day it’s the scoreboard that matters not possession stats

Fast break counters, pinpoint long balls that’s the future of football possession based is dead in the water

It’s only used to hold up play

Counter attack football is tiring and limited.
Stuff is possession football makes u create chances.
Converting your chances has nothing to do with the style of play. They are two separate things.
U create more chances with possession football and have more chances of winning. Defensive football makes u tired and confused

Just one more Bundesliga win to crown Victor Boniface and Tella the champions on the Bundesliga. If they win the DFB Pokal and the Europa league, then Boniface will definitely succeed Osimhen as the next APOTY.
And when Odilon Kossounou wins it?

Possession football can not be dead when the current EPL, Champions League and World club champions is a team based on possession football.

Look at today's stats for Manchester City.

Finito.

Chukwueze wins Milan coach praise after ‘tough time’

Chukwueze - Back to Top Form

Samuel Chukwueze has been praised by AC Milan coach after they dismantled Leece 3-0 to consolidate second place on the Serie A table.

Chukwueze, who has been subject of criticism due to a dip in form since joining the Rossoneri, has now stepped up to earn the praise of coach Stefano Pioli.

The Super Eagles winger has also began to give Pioli selection problems as he had to try out main man Christian Pulisic in a different position (No 10 role) so as to accommodate the impressive Chukwueze.

Despite not being on the score sheet, Chukwueze caught the eye as he created five chances and even got an assist for Christian Pulisic’s goal.

“His mindset has changed. Now he has confidence, is positive, believes in what he does. He understands better what the team needs on the field,” Stefano Pioli told Milanreports.
“He’s a quality player. I’m very happy for him because he went through a tough time: from the outside, everything seems rosy, but players face significant pressures.

“He believed in himself, worked hard, and that pleases me, the club and the team.”

Dessers this season.

17 goals. 7 assists.

Rangers top of Scotland.
Definitely flopped this season, but if he wins the title with Rangers, cult hero status loading...

Dessers against the mighty Celtic.
One last dance.

This forms the basis of my point. We need someone who understands the system and work towards building a team that plays that way.

It means the philosophy guides how we select our coaches, players and how we groom the younger ones.

We select players based on their qualities and what they can offer. As opposed selecting based on clubs.

Finally, we have spent years not developing. I think it is time we start developing our team.

His 3rd time on the bench in the EPL this season so it's not new.

Habeeb is an Anglo-Nigerian defender from their U19s/U18s.

too inconsistent to be our talisman. His performance for us so far has been so underwhelming that we don't even feel his absence whenever he does not play for us. You can read when people lament when players like aina, osimhen, iwobi, ndidi etc miss matches for us but not a single soul loses sleep when chukwueze is the player missing our match. Lack of quality competitors for a long time made him complacent and I hope he starts playing well for us.

They said our own Calvin Bassey was the problem. They said he was the Jonah that caused their ship not to have a smooth sailing.

Can Ajax apologize to Calvin Bassey for the unjust treatment and ridicule he got from fellow teammates and the fans?

As I am typing this, Ajax are trailing by 6 goals to Nil. In case you don't get it.

Feyenoord 6-0 Ajax and there's still 15 minutes to play o grin

Amuneke? Based on what facts? Equaveon's team remains one of the best team in dominating play. Destroyed Algeria 5-2 away from home, 2006. Dominated Egypt, GBissau etc. Dominated Ghana without two core midfielders available. Which team has Amuneke dominated at National level? Siasia almost won the Olympic Gold with a team arriving less than 24 hours to the competion after having won Silver in previous edition. So I don't get where you saw Amuneke play this style oo. Iheanacho under 17 set still remains the best. The coach even qualified them for the under 20 world cup which Amuneke didn't but no one is calling for that coach to take charge of the National team. Why?

Victor Osimhen's head game is already godlike. Better than the head game of many 1.90m+ strikers.

That is the reason me and you are different and not in the same societal strata.
Winning and losing occurs to the best coaches. However, the way you play and set up your team matters a lot to me.

AE has been the only coach setting up his team to align with our traditional way of playing and devoid of sentiment. Also not scared to try new things. QED!

Developing a team for players that lacked basic football knowledge that would be learned from the academy is like learning to use right hand at old age

This current crop is dead and gone just do with them and just squeeze the best out of them

While you raise the next generation right with the right philosophy and mentality

This our current super eagles and possession ball is not it at all

looks like we seem to be the only football team( minus our U17) that possess the right players to play his superior brand of football he was not able to play while coaching in the Npfl, Sudan, Egypt and Zambia leagues and Tanzania. The fact that he was not that successful in the above named places does not put a dent in his record.
