Read my post again and carefully.

My point is the only role suitable for that formation for Moses is wingback or nothing. Becase it has no room for wingers.

I get your point, but there's no way Rohr will bench Moses... We aren't even sure or Rohr will adopt the 3 man defence permanently... For the sake of the team,I hope he doesn't because that will means making lots of changes to the team...

Let's stick with 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 .. Maybe when we play a stronger opposition, we can try the three man defence...

I have done some modifications and editing of the above points as shown bellow:

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE NFF AND THE SUPER EAGLES COACHING CREW FROM MEMBERS OF THE NAIRALAND SUPER EAGLES FANS BASE.

We are ardent followers and supporters of the Super Eagles. Most of us may not make the trip to Russia, we cannot be with the coaching crew, we are not part of the NFF, neither can we kick the balls with the players. However, we can only make our little contribution by way of advice to the NFF and the Coaching crew.
We are an assembly of fans who have seen the game for several decades and have followed it with burning passion all through. We have extensively X-rayed the reasons for the disappointing ends to our past World Cup outings and hence provided some tips for both the NFF and the coaching crew to look critically look into:

1. The need for the NFF to sort out issues of bonuses and players’ welfare on time: This is to avoid players boycotting of training session as witnessed in the last World Cup
2. Majority of the players who qualified the team should be kept. Only players who are better than the current crop should be added. Introducing too many new players had its negative effects in our 2002 and 2014 campaigns. The team should also be a good mix of youth and experience as we hope to achieve a balanced transition in the team even beyond Russia 2018. The best players should be selected devoid of favoritism.
3. Quality pre-World Cup warm up games: We have started with an excellent one with Argentina and should continue in that line. Perhaps a top European and or Asian Opposition would not be bad for us in March, 2018.
4. Instilment of high level of discipline in the team: This is to cub “over-confidence”, lack of team play by some players, segregation in the team and excessive celebrations both on and off the pitch: These kind of attitude had negative effects in our past world cup outings.
5. Updated FIFA rules must be understood by players and coaches to avoid naïve situations. A simple case in time is with our goalie – Daniel Akpeyi in our most recent friendly against Argentina. Also the same Argentina used it against us at the 1994 World Cup. Ie Cladio Caniggia and Diego Maradona. Also players taking off jerseys to display inscriptions should be kicked against.
6. Our players should learn to react to tackles in such a way as to influence the ref’s decisions in our favor. We have been victims of influenced or lack of influenced referee’s decisions in past world cups. Eg Onazi’s tackle against France in 2014 World Cup would have been a Red Card for Matuidi if the Nigerian players close to the action had reacted appropriately. Brahimi would have been sent off if Shehu had gone down after being head butted amongst others.

We believe so much in this Team. The NFF and the entire coaching crew are doing a Super Job with the Super Eagles. We can only hope for the Super Eagles to Fly above all expectations come Russia 2018.

*** The floor is still open to add points.

Meanwhile: The above write up is open for editing.

I call on our English grammar specialists in the house. Safarigirl tops the list and every one here. We are all stake holders.

We need to publish this on the twitter hanldes of The NFF and Toyin Ibitoye ASAP.
whoever dat would send this shouldnt forget to add d link of this thread..grin

Points noted. We really need to perfect this strategy for teams that play possession football.

I think a Joel Obi on the left side will provide more energy to that side of the attack.

Iwobi is improving daily, he appears to be far better in the center than on the wings.. I think keeping him on the wings is a waste.

A quick way to see predictions for December 1st world cup draws.... Omo this people no give Naija too many chances of qualifying into the 2nd round. Well I like our underdog status though.

If Rohr wanna get the best out of the players at the WC he should play them at their natural roles... Shehu should play RB not RWB...
his natural/ role is dmf he is just a makeshift rb doing very well

chill, Netherlands ain't going to the world cup nah
But that was a dangerous slip by us. Thank God he played in the match against Argentina. Who knows what devil might have whispered in his ears "you have gone through the stress of honouring their invitation five times, five times and not one minute of on-field play. They don't trust you. Accept Holland". But with game against Argentina and his own performance and the groundswell of positive reviews I guess he'd stay with us and overlook Holland's overtures.

Looking at our seeding going into the draw on December 1st, If we can avoid Spain in pot 2 or get drawn with either Russia or Poland in pot 1 we should be able to hold our own and get out of the group stages, but the gods might not be so kind...
Spain being in pot 2 is a very bad omen for any team that happens to be in same group. It would look as if two teams were taken from pot 1, because they are much stronger than most of the teams in pot 1.

Spain is a pot 1 in disguise... now couple it with an actual pot 1 team like Germany.

Na today I don dey talk am say Iwobi na waste on the wing!?

The dude is a natural AM. I knew one hand after he was introduced against Egypt in that AFCON qualifiers but I don't understand why they keep playing him on the wing.

His pattern of play suits Mikel die, and I think he could perform more with Aluko and Mikel together on the field. That will be devastating.

I also heard Bazee loves one touch. How true?

the bolded happened in the past

can you confidently say that Aina and Iwobi are in the team due to the show of loyalty and homage with settlement?

Things must change the difference between Keshi. Oliseh and Sia Sia's teams is considerable. Particularly in comparison to the way Rohr Haa set up things. You can see the opportunity for unwholesome practice has been very limited.

Just like before 2013 we had senior men pretending to be youth's in our U17's. That also has largely been curtailed.

My reference was to Hope, Aluko and Anichebe when that kind of behaviour was rife. I don't believe it has totally stopped but has again largely been curtailed.

Agreed they were disjointed nobody stood out.

However, Akpeyi the goalkeeper stood out for bewildering and abysmal performance. You find it hard to believe he is a supposed experienced goalkeeper he seemed very naive we th very poor positional sense making very costly elementary errors

We've often stressed that point on Iwobi being a waste on the wings. Check out: he had a hand directly in all the goals we scored against Argentina and his inputs came from the centre.

With clean pitches ehn our guys will surely play beautiful football. The commentator said that the match was enjoyable to watch. Beyond enjoyment and beauty I hope for a strong performance. The beauty and enjoyment can only continue as we progress in the tournament

a bottle of wine for this comment bro...

he so much rates the super eagles low that he laments here...for championship players to be called to the super eagles....

whereas he can't spill such empty words whenever he talk of 3lions......

what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander...

if those championship players are not good enough for the 3 lions then they're obviously not good enough for the super eagles......

Lol @ Solanke and Tammy are better than Iheanacho... IHEANACHO has two bad months and now all of a sudden some Tammy Abraham and Solanke are better than Nigeria's highest goal scorer this year. Abeg make una calm down. Let Tammy and Solanke come and play against any African team and if them score at 50% of the rate at which Iheancho scores, I will offer my family for Sacrifice. Iheanacho had a transfer, had an injury, came back from Injury, and now has a new coach, all that is enough to unsettle his settling down. Abeg make una calm down biko.
