It is good to see a few players doing ok. The jury is still out on Odey but at least he has started getting games. Alhassan is now a regular which is even better. These are not top leagues but there are ladders to bigger leagues.

But we also have many not so successful moves. Chisom Egbuchulam could be returning to Nigeria soon, his swedish loan can't be said to be a success. Bassey Ezekiel move to Barca B was also short-lived.

I do not think, the successes are due to better coaching. Alhassan was hindered by injury, he would have been in europe, a long time ago even before joining the league. The quality has always been there.

This is actually one of the most intelligent questions I have seen on this thread in a long time. I haven't read what all the other esteemed forumers had said but let me say that our best option is to use this period to bring out the best in what we already have. Hence, I have suggested over and over again that besides a few weak links in the team especially in the goalkeeping department and in LB, I don't really see the need to invite additional new players.

If I am making decision for the team, right now, the one new players in my radar would be: Vincent Enyeama (if he gets more games and get match sharp) and Joel Obi (if he stays injury free). Joel is a utility player, he can play LB, LWB, DM, and CM. That's it ... finito. The other guys, even if they are scoring in the moon should wait until after the world cup.

Following the recent meeting of the Disciplinary Committee, FIFA can today confirm the latest sanctions imposed for incidents that occurred during the preliminary competition for the FIFA World Cup™ as well as in international friendlies.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been sanctioned for fielding an ineligible player in the match between Algeria and Nigeria on 10 November 2017. The match is declared to be forfeited and awarded 3-0 in favour of Algeria, with the NFF also receiving a fine of CHF 6,000. The sanction relates to the player Abdullahi Shehu failing to serve the automatic one-match suspension imposed on him as a result of receiving a caution in two separate matches of the same competition. This sanction bears no impact on the final result of the preliminary competition for the FIFA World Cup since Nigeria had already qualified (and Algeria eliminated) before the match took place.

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has also sanctioned the Timor-Leste FA (FFTL) with a fine of CHF 70,000 and the forfeit of seven matches in the preliminary competition for the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ for fielding a total of nine ineligible players based on nationality. The decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee is related to a previous sanction imposed by the AFC.

I hammered on those 4 goals he conceded and his attorneys claimed they were not his fault. Because then the focus was on kicking Akpeyi out. Nothing else mattered.

What was said was that Enyeama in 2007 also conceeded 4goals against Ghana.
I also pointed out then, that 2 of the 4goals Ezenwa conceeded were penalties. My point in all of these, is that the 4goals he conceeded then doesn't hinder his growth nor does it prove the point that he is totally worse than Enyeama ever was.
But talking about the World Cup now, l think Uzoho has the height advantage, but we must see him in two or more games, l also think Ajiboye should be invited and Ezenwa seems more confident than Akpeyi.
Confidence is also key in goalkeeping.

A Pointer ; please what's Deportivo B's position in the Segunda B? Did u know that Uzoho, with his heroics between the sticks, is on the verge of promoting his team to the Segunda division where Ondoa is a bench warmer?

Dude didn't get demoted because he was poor, only the coach knows why he sent him back to the B team. He is definitely better than Pantillimon and will be taking Panti's place in the first team to contend properly for the first choice when Panti's loan expires by the end of the season.

Dude is also about the best goalie in the division he currently plies his trade. 7cleansheets in 10 appearances no be beans. Even Enyeama who just came back, conceded in a division lower than this Segunda B. Not comparing the two but if Enyeama failed to turn up, Uzoho gets my nod.

Playing in division three can't be the yardstick to measure performance and get selected for a whole SE.

I will prefer he sits on the bench of his team first team in the la liga.

Moses was dire in the game against Iran. He touched he ball just 13 times in his time on the pitch. He deservedly lost his place in the team afterwards.
I even forgot to add Mikel Obi himself didn't exactly cover himself in glory @ that world cup. He was as average as others, you may not want to admit it, but you can't prove me wrong.
