Shehu had a MOTM performance and an assist against Zambia that qualified us for WC.

Aina is good when attacking but average when it comes to defending.I recall his error against Argentina where he was too attack minded exposing Balogun for one of Arg goal
and in another friendly where his tackle resulted in a PK against us.

Shehu is better defending which stops the team from conceding through the right.

When a quality player is not able to express his quality, who do you blame the system, the strategy and or the manager❓

Aina is proven tested at a higher level has been consistently outstanding since his first professional game and how old is he again

Shehu is so outstanding that he remained in Cyprus and now in Turkey.

My view is simple let all of them be tested no favoritism let the best man win.

For me Omeruo has been at best average never been outstanding at anything. How he still remains in the SE is beyond me. Or is it a reflection of no competition or scarcity of quality within our available CB 's

Lol wetin omeruo do you

But me,I don't really like aina zeal when it comes to national assignment, he plays as if he was forced against his wish to switch nationals grin

I will have to stop you there. I am guessing you must have missed the AFCON in 2013 and the 2014 FIFA WC for you to have made such a(no offence really) silly comment. I mean he was easily among the team of the tourney in 2013 and would have made almost everybody's team of the group stage. That's by the way.

Even now at Leganes, since he made his debut, off the top of my head I don't think Leganes have conceded up to 5goals since then, they do not score much but defence isn't their problem at all and mind you they have faced Sevilla(quick question when was the last time an English team defeated Sevilla? I remember Klopp's Liverpool and Man United as their victims but that's by the way). For you to accomplish that monumental defensive record shows that you have at least good players if not excellent, so saying that Omeruo, whose addition has led to that defensive milestone(make of that whatever you want), is average at best is plainly stupid and based solely on emotive bias and negative prejudice

Aina has improved yes...But let's hope he translate his club performance to the national team...
He was outstanding while at Hull city but couldn't do Jacksh*t with the super eagles pre world cup ..

Idowu is also good going forward. In fact his major weakness is defending/positioning in the defensive position.

Besides, henn.. Jamilu has not really come under heavy attacks for you to fully assess his defensive capabilities.

Heavy attack or no heavy attack, I have never been impressed by that Jamil Collins boy. Now thats not to support the idea of Idowu. To me, both are below average players. I wish we had someone like DRC's Arthur Masuaku, buh when the desirable aint available...

Aina likes to attack, so will be more suited as a RWB and LWB not as a RB or LB.As a RWB he is ahead of Shehu but as a RB, Shehu is ahead of him.

He mainly plays as a RWB/LWB for Torino.Even when he was rated the best RB in the championship he failed to replicate his club performance for the Super Eagles.

I'm beginning to think he has something against Omeruo (and he constantly accuses others of being emotionally biased, bla bla bla)..

Never miss an opportunity to diss him...

And this particular dissing is senseless. Imagine Omeruo that sent Yobo(his favourite) into retirement has never been above average? That's just, that's just sad.

How many chance was Ebuehi given??

In the national team, your chances will be limited.. Its actually your club performance that will earn u an invite to the national team...it's ur performance in the national team that will keep you there..

Ebuehi even had less minutes than Aina but still proved to be good.. Aina couldn't put in a better performance than Echijele,so he was dropped..

Scottish Premiership champions Celtic are working on a deal to sign prolific Nigerian striker Josh Maja, according to reports.

The Scottish Sun is reporting that Celtic are keen on signing the Sunderland star with defender Jack Hendry moving on loan to the Black Cats as part of the deal.

Maja has entered the final six months of his contract with the League One club and has yet to pen a new deal on the advice of his agent.

A plethora of teams in the Premier League and Germany are reportedly keeping tabs on the former Super Eagles invitee, who has notched 15 goals this season and was the highest scoring teenager in England's top four divisions in December prior to his 20th birthday.

Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace, Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City have all been credited with an interest in Maja.

The London-born young star previously played for the youth teams of Crystal Palace, Fulham and Manchester City.
