I was talking the end of the season

Thats why I asked "what if those last 2 games would determine their league status"?

Rooney exploded at Euro 2004 in which tournament has Chukwueze exploded?

Rooney got his call-up for England after his performances for Everton in the 2002/2003 season. He never played for any youth team after that.

In that season, he scored 6 goals in 33 appearances

Chukwueze already has 7 goals and 3 assists in 26 games.

Let him play the AFCON first, then we can talk about tournaments.

Yes agreed but you cannot compare Rooney explosion to chukwueze.

I want chukwueze to go to afcon ,but I won't agree he is above u20 World Cup

If there was only U20 world cup, i will say, why not?

But if Chukwueze was English, he will not be playing youth football.

Why not?

Rooney only scored 6 goals in 33 games in his first season. That was enough to get him an England call-up and he never looked back

Chukwueze already has 7 goals and 3 assists in 26 games this season.

Rooney 6 goals was in the Epl only

Chukwueze got 5 goals and not 7 ,are you counting Villarreal b goals ?

Some English players doing well like him are still playing youth football

Can you compare playing for Chelsea vs playing for Villarreal? U think Chukwueze would have had that number of opportunities he had at Villarreal if he played for Chelsea?

And u think Solanke, Ojo, Ademola et al would have taken their chances with Villarreal like Chuks did, if they were presented with such opportunities l? I still maintain that those guys were not as good as Chuks is today, hence, Chuks would have done better than they did for those top 8clubs. KPOM!!

Alright, 5 senior goals and 2 assists in 17 games.

Rooney had 6 goals in all competitions in 33 games.

There is no much difference between both and remember Rooney plays mainly as a striker or a support striker.

Agreed ,why won't I take him when he is scoring goals after all some players that are not scoring will go to afcon and their spot are even guaranteed

My point is that he is not bigger than u20 that's all .

Missing the first couple of matches at the U20WC?

This is a player that has not been part of the team all through the qualifiers. No reasonable coach will just throw him in like that without being part of the camping exercise.

With the Spanish season closing a day after commencement of the WYC, Chukwueze is as good as ruled out of the U20 WC.

Yes he exploded at the Euros, buh can u tell us why he made the Euro at such a young age? What other reason do u have bar his Everton exploit which Chuks has bettered already and would crush before summer? grin

For better or worse we are not England. Messi played this same tournament so no human under the age of 20 can ever be too big for it

You keep on making these definite comments but I will continue to remind u that u are not the coach. Fine I get it if u were the coach this is what will happen but since u are not u cannot rule the player out. That option is still very much available.

Bros this is a very simple thing to figure out.

But if you are hoping that Chukwueze will play both the U20 WC and AFCON good luck to your wishes.
