nahhh I see him playing for Madrid...
gonna retire Benzema.

if you look very well...dude will be close to his 30s now and still can't play the ball that he is been paid to play...
tall for nothing striker....
he should be ashamed of himself.
it is likely obvious that he had a shading deals with the coach to have played this far

lol I swear

let the best players irrespective of where they play be picked and be given equal chances....

I still don't know why the former female handler of Super Falcons was sacked

I'm so enjoying the lamentations

They said I was unpatriotic.

I no warn una? grin cheesy

You guys said I cab feel free to report to FIFA.

Thank God I didn't bother eating MB or time to watch some over aged village champions play

At 27-28 when some World class players have reached their prime, some old men from Nigeria were struggling with their sons in a youth tournament.

Hahahahaha

Next time when I'm pessimistic, some of you optimists/idealists will see sense in it

grin grin cheesy

Well that's that the coach got what he deserved you can't plant cassava and expect to reap apples the only consolation is that they put up a fight in the second half of this game.

As far as age grade competitions go I'm very disappointed because I don't see anyone in the near future from this group of players that can be promoted to the super Eagle

OK maybe as a longshot Kingsley Michael and ofobofh could Step Up but that's about it

Don't be too sure at those words... You never can tell. Did you watch ighalo at under 20 ? He is worst than Tijani. Some of the players might still come out good. Okon, bashiru, Ofordoh, oremade, makanjuola, Kingsley, saccula...

the problem with him..is that he see coaches and backroom appointment as an olive branch to reward loyalist and proteges.
hence the aigbogun and Wilson oruma appointment....

people should be put in positions because they can deliver and not base on sentiment
Wait first, is Wilson oruma part of the coaching crew?

I Never expected anything from them. Since they came fourth from under 20 africa championship. And also the coach is a wrong one at most.. His antecedent at enyimba cant be forgotten easily... He's a fraud.

No quality preparation, all the friendly matches he played is all fraud.. . Assembly over 40 players three weeks into a tournament and you think you will perform well? What a joke. He deserve the defeat.

I still don't know why the former female handler of Super Falcons was sacked
because she and her team protested around Abuja when they were abandoned in Cameroon despite defeating the host nation to clinch the AWCON....

the pinnick and company developed bad blood towards her and have her removed....

Too sure. Okon will do well with better players.

The commentator said Okon was the motm despite we loosing the match.

It was very obvious.

Abdul is not yet part of the U23.

Peter Eletu and Okon will break into the U23 first team.

Yes okon was the best Nigeria player on the pitch today

I don't rate nwakali self but I wont agree okon is better than him ,they should have take nwakali to this tournament so we will see what he can do ,if he think he belongs to the eagles he must be joking

They are not as good as Okon.

All those things you listed are what Okon is good at. He has the talent to improve on his passing ability and game.

I wasn't even opportuned to watch the game and this is because football watching is not allowed where I am presently. grin. And please don't ask me where grin

But I have seen enough of the team from the group stage games.

Good Luck to the Players. Contrary to most peeps views, I expect to see some of them in the SE and U23 teams in not so distant future.

And as for Aigbogun, he is not a good coach and also a poor tactician and should never be given any national team job for the mean time. His team doesn't have the Nigerian flair and flavor.

And to the teaming true Nigerian fans we salute your courage, patience and enthusiasm despite the team not living up to expectations.

As for winning the U20 title we have failed. But as far as players assessment is concerned we have used this team as an opportunity to evaluate the readiness of some players to make the national team. The U23 team is another opportunity for us and we must optimize it.

The home based players will always be the bedrock of our U20teams and so the NFF and NPFL really need to work together for teams to have well drilled youth teams who are also not age cheats. This will ensure we start the screening process with the right set of players.

We move on.
