Don't expect to hear an European accent and diction. The commentary is okay.

After all these years playing in Europe and Salah is still stingy on the ball. I don't get it. It's incredible really.

Zimbabwe players see the South African league as European league grin
. Almost half of their squad players are based in South Africa..

But that Billiat guy good o.. He and Percy Tau made me enjoy Mamelodi Sundowns back then..

Southern African players don't have the kind of exposure their west African counterparts have, hence, most of them hardly move to Europe...

It might be for his own personal gain...He needs to score enough and win the AFCON to boost his chance of winning the Balon d'or..

Wait till u see Mane.. He will play selfishly too grin

if Egypt weren't the host, they won't make my top 5 favorite team to win the tournament

A lack of finishing is Zimbabwe's undoing.

Egyptian attackers jittery but Salah is a gem dropping deep to feed attackers which is in contrast to what he enjoys at Liverpool

Exactly.
At Liverpool those two full backs Arnold and Robertson were lofting balls to him but here he is the one doing the job.
Dropping deep to play attacking midfielder/winger rather than the wing forward he plays at Liverpool.

Being stingy kills a player's game.

Egypt remains the strongest team going into this tournament, in my estimation.

That goalkeeping blunder from Egypt was suspect. They’ve seemed very underwhelming.

Strongest in terms of what??

Assuming they weren't the host, how would u have ranked them ?

Zimbabwe are not bad after all.. They just need a good finisher. I know many thought Egypt would destroy them tonight. I have a feeling this AFCON 2019 is going on to be the best ever.

Still the Strongest. I didn't rank them strongest because they're hosting. Hosting in this kind of single tie per game tournament is only a slight advantage.

Zims should play Biliat more in d game. He has gone cetral this time.He is d most technically gifted among all of them. He can draw some fouls close to d 18yds.

By the way, let's talk about Iwobi for a bit. Sentiments aside, that guy doesn't fill me with confidence at all.

His shooting is pathetic, ditto his long passing abilities, his goal sense below par, aerial ability is zero, ball control average at best....the only thing he has going for him is his one-two passes and once in a blue moon accurate defence splitting pass.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm a big Iwobi fan and I wish him the very best but if I were in Rohr's shoes right now, I'd play Etebo as 10 ahead of Iwobi.

Your thoughts?

And what exactly does Etebo do apart from his great engine??

Etebo doesn't offer anything better than Iwobi either. expect for his stamina...

But then, you aren't entirely wrong on Iwobi. His poor shooting ability is what I don't like about him. At times he gets into good goalscoring positions but would rather pass than shoot...That's why his goal to game ratio at arsenal is so low....

Nevertheless I'll start him ahead of Etebo as a 10 .. only Mikel can play that role better than him in this current SE team...
who knows, Mikel presence in midfield could help him improve...

Your thoughts?

Ete what?

How many chances has Etebo created in our last ten games? How many successful passes? You think we can just give any jacky rhe number 10 role, so that he will deceive us with empty runs and gragra ball?

On what basis should Etebo be 10? What does he do bettee than Iwobi aside running with no direcrion?
