Olympique Marseille 1997 squad, I only know Victor Agali who used to play for Nigeria, the rest, I have not even heard their name. Yet you want to claim bigger than the EPL. What a joke. grin grin grin

This, I can't argue. I heard people scream offside before the corner. But replay was never shown, so I don't know

It was clear offsides boss. The play leading to the corner.

Why are South Africa and Ivory Coast just blasting the ball anyhow like that?? It’s as if they have no game plan.

You have seen with your eyes. Finito. French Ligue 1. What a joke.

If UEFA should release a ranking of the in d best leagues in the in the world for the last 100 years, Ligue1 won't he in the top 5.. it's a proper farmers league. It has produced just one European champion since inception. the dutch and Portuguese league have done better...

Thank God for the Arabs who are using PSG to keep them in UEFA good books....

Argument with little thread-worth for the now? Ego problems perhaps cause I don't get why two adults are spamming this fine thread with ancient history in an AFCON season!!!

Ivory Coast looked like us against Burundi. All passing and flair with little to no end product.

I still don't know the reason why these stadia are so dry. Boring matches - no entertainment. The sight of empty seats is so disgusting, even the female world cup attracts massive crowd with great support.

AFCON... sad Pathetic situation.

You did not watch or know EPL 1996/97. The point you made was that Chelsea was an average side. Explain how an Average side won the FA Cup and League Cup. Explain how top stars were in the league when Babayaro was in the league. I winder why you want to kill yourself with Coefficient.

Tell me the team in France during Babayaro's time that was bigger than Chelsea. Tell me the bigger players in France than that of the Premier League.

No France team even had money to compete in market for players. Till today, it is a Mickey mouse league.

UEFA ranking says otherwise. Keep fooling yourself.

When supposedly good teams play like that it can be mind bending: I still can't say for certain why it happens.

They even have Mac Cornet on the bench

The way the striker missed the first goal showed that they had little desire to win this match, maybe payment issues or something

It's a total eyesore. A few months to the tournament when the ticket sells were low, they should've started to give out free tickets. Maybe that would've helped.

The question is how far can they go?
They went to d last AFCON with a good squad and couldn't make it out of d group stage....
