andrewbaba44: I like his character and personality. He is tailored for this job. He is completely happy not being the center of attention. He is still a younger old guy who can relate to our young boys and also be a big brother. I am very big on this hire. |

chrisooblog:which excellent defensive ability is he talking about? Having longetivity in the national team doesnt mean he is the finest ever to come out of 9ja. Yobo is not even in my top 3 of our best ever CBs. He was committed and loyal but not that he was the best. Yobo is nowhere near the likes of okechukwu, nwanu, west, keshi and chukwu in terms of talent and expertise in the cb position 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: Oga his new job has nothing to do with personality and character but what he has to bring to the team tactically. Stop this ur painting of words and reasoning just to justify ur ignorance. |

BascoVanVeli: He can definitely serve as a motivator but so can other ex internationals. Kanu pops into the camp regularly to motivate the players. Yobo does not have to be an assistant to act as a big brother and motivator to the boys. He can speak to most of them personally and even visit the camp. |

BascoVanVeli:He already had a UEFA B license in order to be assistant. Not only that, he had already served as sporting director and advisor to both Perez and Mourinho.

The reaction to Yobo’s appointment from the public and media go dey pain NFF. They really thought everybody will be happy about it. My only issue with the appointment is that from what I have read and researched, Yobo has no coaching license. Most ex players have licenses wether it is C, B or A License. The likes of Zidane, Arteta, Henry, Terry etc all had B or A license before they even became assistants or Gerrard before he became U18 coach with Liverpool so a comparison with them and Yobo can’t be made. Lampard had A Licence before he got the job at Derby County In my opinion, I dont believe that Yobo was thinking about becoming a coach anytime soon otherwise he would have studied for or be studying for a license. So why NFF decided to talk to him about super eagles coaching role is really baffling to me. All in all, good luck to him. 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: What’s your point with this ? How does this justify Yobo to be our assistant coach ? You are now asking if anyone in our team has done that Now please when last do we even have a cb playing in the epl that you want any of our cb to play all the 38 epl games ?? Sir you are no making any sense You are just trying to justify mediocrity by all means |
