Yeah you could say that but he still has a long way to go. Just glad he is making those progressive steps towards consistent football again.

We hope he has a solid season this 2020/2021 campaign. Wishing him well.

Philosopher1979:

So he is actually a deep lying play maker who constucts the attack from midfield. Reminds me of Pirlo but i dont want to hype him.
He has to prove himself this year in the la liga.
Anyway i hope he comes up against thomas partey again and does what he did in that friendly again

Meanwhile in the Friendly between Villarreal and Tenerife... Chukwueze starts from the bench today after starting in the last one. Coach doing the half by half rotation thing.

Game on and still 0-0.

He went on loan to Getafe, did he make an outstanding impression to generate interest for a permanent move.

I really can't say, only time will tell.

Well, finance may be a little problem, if Stoke's selling price is in the high.

However, there's a bias in favor of players who have had an above average showing in the past, teams believe they still have it in them to deliver.

A 20 years old player isn't too old in 2020 to decide which country he's going to play for please, who's advising this guy, the earlier the better.

Bukola Saka’s parents ask for time as NFF finally contacts player

Super Eagles Head Coach Gernot Rohr has contacted Arsenal’s rave of the moment Bukayo Saka to play for Nigeria.

The Eagles’ Chief Scout cum Rohr’s Personal Assistant Tunde Adelakun revealed this to newsmen from his base in England.

“The boy (Bukayo Saka) wants to concentrate on his club career. He is still very young and his parents and advisers believe it is too premature for him to be faced with major decisions on International football. He is only 18 years old.

“We have reached him. I have made the approach and that is what I have been told. We cannot exert pressure on a young 18-year-old to decide on such major issues unless it comes from him”, Adelakun explained to newsmen from his base in England yesterday.

There has been rave reviews about the performance of the 18-year-old who surprised Arsenal fans with his sublime football skills, composure and absolute confidence during the just-concluded season.

This sparked a huge debate regarding his international future at the senior level since he is eligible to play for his adopted country England and his fatherland Nigeria since his parents are Nigerians.

Saka was quoted by Sky Sports last month, “It’s a tough choice. I’m happy to have represented England at the youth level but I’m also proud of my Nigerian heritage from my parents.

"We haven’t been picked by any team so it’s about staying humble and when the time comes we’ll make the decision”, Saka told Sky Sport in an interview in July this year.

In the manner of certain monikers on this thread, this inexplicable selection must be because of "egunje" or nepotism. Oh wait, it's not Nigeria, so the coach must have his reasons.....

Nah Saka is still a young lad (18 years old) and whatever advice his parents have for him is the best for him, I think his parents are the only reason why he has not come out and declared for England. They are probably weighing the best option for him

Villarreal make changes to their entire starting XI and Chukwueze is in for the second half alongside Alcacer, Asenjo, Coquelin etc...

Villarreal leads 1-0.

Today Is the Day: The Bukayo Saka Saga

The English Three Lions Manager, Southgate (Not Komekn, our in-house Southgate... I mean the real Southgate grin) will today release the list of invites for England's upcoming games.

Should Bukayo Saka make the list, there is a chance that he could accept the call-up. But time will tell.

Meetings have been held with him, his parents and his Agent. Rohr and Pinnick were present but no definite answer yet. Things kept on the low.

Today will see what follows. Will Saka be called up or not? If he is called up, will he accept? Would be very difficult to turn down an England Call-up to be honest. The stage is set and we would know soon enough. Time, as always, will tell. wink

Hint: Bukayo Saka follows the English Three Lions official handle on Twitter but doesn't follow the Nigerian Super Eagles Official handle. 'Would see if this means anything.

It's obvious these guys have bad advicers when it comes to Naija SE. Chai. The Hint alone is just enough to know where his interest lies. This thing no good o. Now as he no dey list, he go go follow SE on twitter. Smh.

Jack Grealish last season

184 shot-creating actions [1st]

167 fouls suffered [1st]

91 chances created [1st]

79 passes into the box [2nd]

73 successful take-ons [3rd]

6 assists [4th]

But not good enough
If 3years pass and Grealish form drops, i hope they don't use that to justify his non-inclusion in this current squad!! A pity a Kelvan Phillips dey and Barkley sef no dey. E funny. But na Gate sabi. Saka is repping SE i believe.

There is no hype. The boy is simply good and masterful when he is not even at his best...yes , I am hyping him.

N. Nwakali simply went through some tough times like every man does. Those saying he is lazy are ignorant...if he was lazy he wouldn't be where he is today....smh

I watched this game and I need to add that Nwakali didn't finish the half as AM, he dropped a bit deeper into midfield as he wasn't really seeing more of the ball in the AM role for the first 15mins or so and when he dropped deep, he dictated play from there and began to exert his influence.

He won the corner that led to their goal also. Good run out. More of this from the lad.

I am surprised they ignored this news. Nwakali will shock these haters
