I really don't know when we'll start commenting without doing so base on sentiment and emotion. The man said "YOU and I"; which include himself. After all, that is his ministry and those who he referred to as YOU work under this same ministry. Fashola is only attributing the faults and those responsible for providing electricity, which makes him more responsible.
Thank you brother, thank God I met a rational mind here today. Some people can't understand simple English

Fashola your post lacks credibility....tell those stories to the gods..u r only trying to back the president inorder to attain a greater hight!...we practice the presidential system of government where all power is vested on the president.so coming out to tell us dat it's nt the president's fault is totally out of it...ur complexion alone shows that u r an ambassador of darkness.we r nt suprised anyway!

Its my fault abi? Does he even know the buck stops at his table?

This govt hasn't realize Nigerians aren't smiling.

You and practically everyone on this page didn't seem to read what fashola said.

He said the fault is his own and that of electricity workers. So, he is saying the blame should be on him.

olillywales:
Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, as appealed to the conscience of electricity workers on Thursday, April 7 over epileptic power supply in the country saying the issue of epileptic eletricity is not the President's fault.

Speaking at the third triennial delegates’ conference of the Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies, the Minister said Nigeria lost N7.734bn between 2014 and 2016, owing to frequent strike actions embarked upon by electricity workers.

Fashola said the monumental revenue loss was discovered after conducting a snap survey of strikes embarked upon by workers in the sector between April 2014 and March 2016.

“Our job is to provide electricity and get paid for it; we have no other job. If electricity is not enough, it means that we haven’t provided it, you and I.

“If there is not enough electricity, it is not the fault of the President but you and I, who are employed to work in this sector.”

“The finger pointing should stop. Our responsibility is to provide electricity, let us go back to work, we will solve the disputes one by one. It is improved productivity of electricity that yields the money that goes into your pockets, let us understand it, because you don’t get paid in advance but in arrears,” he said.

Ok sir your point is noted. In other words BRF is not capable. Thanks for your view

BRF has only had 4 months in office. He can still deliver the goods.

I don't support APC but I expected APC to field BRF as presidential candidate. He was their best candidate.

Since he wasn't, I expected him to be a super minister (almost a Prime Minister) with power & works ministries at least.

That's the only decision of Buhari I agree 110% with.
Why was he not appointed immediately, around June 2015? Why dilly-dally for 6 months and allow things to get worse?

Is BRF getting the freedom to operate maximally under BUhari?

Are there people around Buhari desperate to shackle & rubbish BRF in order to dim his stellar political future?

My grouse with BRF is to viciously criticise GEJ's performance in electricity, which by comparison was far better than now?

Why hold GEJ responsible then BUT thinks Buhari has no blame now? That's pure hypocrisy and I hate it no matter who indulges in it.

Fashola is right! Our lack of electricity is not president Buhari's fault - It's Nigerians fault for voting for Buhari who is incapable of giving us true positive change!

Fasola does not understand that the expectation of Nigerians is more than all these things he was saying.

May God help this present administration because things have not started forming shape.

Change doesn't come easy ..You have to go through some things ..Its hard today ..Y'all blaming Baba ..I know for sure its gonna be good one day ..#betterdays ahead ..if you believe click like ..share if you don't #Sai Baba

You need to understand that Goodluck was a change from Yeradua, so was Obasanjo. There is no big deal about change. People who say PDP ruled for 1 million year has no idea of what leadership is. A party don't lead a nation not even in America. The President and his circle of friends or associate do. So when you say change, talk about the President not the party.

If I may ask, what has APC contributed to the leadership at the circle. Nearly nothing because the party don't rule that is the reason every president automatically become the leader of his party.

Please forget your change message. Every election bring a change, it is the direction of the change that matter.

I don't understand why people approach issue based on sentiment. He said people should not blame Buhari for power outage but Him and Electricity workers saddled with the responsibility of giving Nigerians light. He has taken responsibility for the failure and he his encouraging workers to take their job seriously.
Buhari has employ them and give them the role, you want Buhari to come and do the job for them. The bulk of the job stop on Buhari's table but he has shared the role to some people.
