Goodmorning everyone,i ran into this thread while searching info online on exactly this.I have read extensively the earlier pages of this thread.I am presently trying to get my statements of service from both my current employers and previous including NYSC place of primary assignment(i hope it is part of it).Please has anyone from the legal proffession or a judicial officer walked this path?so i may be appropriately guided.I plan to assess my skills and qualifications with VETASSESS sometime this month.Pls anyone with the experience to share?Thanks

I guess your POF means Proof of Fund. Australian Skilled Immigration does not require POF.

My husband is an I. T manager with 10 years experience he is 35years old.

Am so confused on where and how to start.

With your experience is it also worth the whole stress, getting a skilled job in Australia and then getting a citizenship.

I actually got a positive assessment from ICAA for general accountant and I will like to assess as a finance manager because of the long queue for accountants.

Although I am aware IPA and CPA also assesses but I found ICAA lenient after my experience wt vetassess.

For those that have assessed wt CPA or IPA how was your experience with them ?

Yes, you have to send your bachelors and Masters transcripts...do u have upto 3 managers reporting to you, and then 3 managers reporting to those mangers under u? If the answer is no, there's no point wasting ur money, Aim is very strict.

The 190 visa differs from the 189 in that you must be nominated by a state and have a moral obligation to reside in such a state for 2years upon arrival in Australia, while the 189 is independent has its name implies and you can choose to live in your most preferred location. But as far as knowledge can serve me they possess similar privileges in term of government support and residency status.

Hi FCCA2012,

CPA is cool and objective. Why not check ICAA as well because some of the assessing bodies allow for dual assessment only that you can only use one of the assessment at a time (i.e you can't use both concomitantly).

Have you submitted EOI for NSW? With your 75 points and 5 points SS you should be on 80 points. I have read (on expatforum) of G-Accountant nominated by NSW recently with 80 points (SS inclusive) giving the fact that they have Superior English and work experience (both of which you have).

Also, have you considered your MBA (obtained in Australia)? That should give you additional point if you have concluded it.

I think you should look at your options critically before committing resources to additional assessment.

Your profile (from my point of view) is good to go.

not proof per say, but require you to make a financial declaration. They might then go ahead to ask you for proof or not. But most cases I have heard never asked for the proof

Assessing as a human resource manager will mean you being an actual manager like @Nekks has pointed out. If you aren't, don't waste your money.
However, your husband is a better person to apply as a PA. His years of experience is more than enough.
Talk to people who have gone through Acs assessment. Gather his documents and he should be good to go.

This thing done tire me o. What should I do?

For South Australia, you only need to complete the declaration when submitting your application online and it is just stating the cash available in one space, and other assets' monetary values in another space. The sum of these two should cover the amount required for your family composition. I experienced exactly the same thing. I applied for fast track on 21st Feb and a case officer was not assigned until 28th March. Average time before your CDR gets assigned now is 26 working days for fast track. However, once they start your review, they will give you an outcome quickly as long as you provide whatever additional documents they require as soon as they request it. All the best!

Just in case you are not qualified for skilled immigration , you should consider coming to study in Australia for a start and to get your foot in and this is how .

To study in Australia you'll need to apply for both admission to an institution and also for a student visa from the Australian Government.
There are a number of steps you must go through including:
