I have a Bachelor's degree in pharmacology but i want to go for just a 1yr course programme in any health post graduate diploma course.

I have the mind of starting up a career again in pharmD after the PgD.

But then please what health post graduate diploma course booming well there should i go for?
if your thinking of starting a pharmD degree all over again. its better you start your bsc in thr states, you'll look for a accreditd college of pharmacy, so within 7-8years since they'll combinE it fot you, you'll gt the pharmD degree. pharmacists are high in demand here, median salary per annum is $113,00

If you want to go for pgd in health course. Nurse practitioners, respiratory theapist, and lot more. i cant just tell you to go to a field. you have to know the one you wish to go to and i'll tell you about the job opportunity and pay rates.

Good morning lolawilliams and Brigadier7 & All,

Any idea where one can apply and do TOEFL and SAT in Nigeria?

What are the cost of both examinations ?

If I live in Ibadan, where can I get prep materials for the exams?

Thanks.

Not at all. You'll go for an msc programme and a phD after that, you then get a pharmD degree. One cant just start pharmD degree after a bsC in pharmacology.

PharmD means doctor in pharmacy degree. A bsc holder wont have enough experience yet, so he/she needs to go for msC and phD before you'll be given the pharmD degree. The uni offering pharmD wont accept a bsc degree to study pharmD, I can bet that.

Alright. Ive accepted it.

For a friend, so after piling up Bpharm , MSC and PhD, and a Nigerian pharmacist can't practise pharmacy in the US, except industrial pharmacy, my question now is, how is the industrial practise over there like?

A hundred thanks.

Seems you don't get me! You use about 200k USD in Dentistry! Before they give you the loan you must also have a Co-signer who is a USA Citizen or PR! For the Masters and Phd I suggested, its Way Far Lower than 100K dollars!! 200k is only for my Discipline! You get?? Just google the tuition fees! Am sure it won't be upto 100k for both master and Phd in your discipline

Hello there, what's PR in plain english? thanks

Public health very Good...Better if you actually get the masters as planned here...jobs prospect is also good too especially if you decide to spread your tentacle to the Suburban areas.. Urban areas are kind of saturated! All the best sir

Excuse my ignorance.

How does a non-citizen Nigerian get this sort of student loan?

Does he apply for it himself or herself?

Does the citizen or PR apply for it?

Or do both the non-citizen and citizen apply?

Or do both the non-citizen and PR apply?

What sort of relationship should exist between both before it can be approved?

Much appreciated if you could break it down for me

to qualify for the loan, You must have written and Passed some professional exams and been accepted into a 2years International Dentist Program in an accredited University, its with the admission letter that you use in applying for the Loan! The PR or Citizen will act as a Co-signer. He/she maybe a Family member, Friend, cousin, relative etc getting the loan isn't as difficult as getting the Admission. They know you can always pay back the loan within 2-3yrs after your Grad so its really not an issue.

2 year degree program BSc Nursing

Already have a Nigerian RN and several years of experience

Seeking more challenges and better pay

Still struggling with CGFNS verification. problems have to do with the nursing council back home having a policy of attaching their transcript to CGFNS documentation instead of filling the documentation the CGFNS sends.

Once that is cleared will be able to take the NCLEX exam

I just hope the student loan thing works for other health disciplines not just dentistry since it should not be impossible to pay back within a couple of years once employed

Maybe the professional exam thing is going to stand in my way of the loan

International Students are usually not eligible for US Govt funded loans. The loans am talking about are private loans.. You may be eligible for Private loans.

For those of you whose dreams are to work in America, Here is a list of some Courses to study in Nigerian Universities that will make you a top shot in America!!

Dentistry: Dentistry remains one of the best professions in the world in terms of Pay and Job Satisfaction and work
Flexibility!Dentistry or Dental Medicine is Specialty of Medicine! When you study Dentistry in Nigeria and you wish to come over to the states to make a living, You gonna spend about 2years to get licensed after which you begin to Print money like a Printing Press! General Dentist under employments earn over $250K per Annum working 4- 5 Days a week. While specialist Dentist like Oral Surgeons, Orthodontist, Endodontist under employment earn between $350k- $500k per Annum! Those with their own Private Clinics can make as much as $700k-$1.2M Per Annum! I know of a Nigerian Oral Surgeon with two Clinics in North Carolinas, he Grosses $10k Dollars PER DAY(Without Tax and other Expenses).....Ermmh I happen to be a Dentist too

(2) Medicine: this profession still remains one of the best positions in the world! Also in terms of Pay and Job Satisfaction! Compared to Dentistry, practicing Medicine in America after Graduating from a Nigerian University is easier because you don't have to go back to school here! After Graduating, you only need to pass the USMLE after which you get into a residency Program! BUT The CATCH most people don't know here is, Because your Medical Degree isn't from America, there are some limited specialties and Slots available to you! E.g Finishing from Nigeria. Geting a Residency in Let's say General Surgery, Ophthalmology,Anesthesiology,Plastic Surgery and other Competitive Specialties IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE! You are ONLY going to be limited to Physician Specialties like Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine,Psychiatry!! The Pay of these specialties ranges from $180k-$300k Per Annum!

Pharmacy:Imperative to the healthcare industry, pharmacists not only fill
prescriptions, but also educate patients on the potential side effects of
their medications, teach them how to handle side effects, and monitor
which prescriptions each patient is taking to prevent mixing incompatible
drugs. Annual Pay Ranges Between $150k-200k

Nurses: This is well known by all and Sundry! I personal know of Some Nigerian Nurses that earn $5k Per month! Nurses like the Nurse Anesthesia can make upto to $100k!

Information Technology: Computer science, Software engineers, Computer Engineers infact the IT Professionals! IT Professionals work software and hardware upgrades, protect office
networks from hackers and malwares. They make over $100k year Depending on your Qualifications etc! Many of my IT friends earn between 80k-100k

Radiography, Physiotherapy, Occupational Health: if you hard working you net $80k

Thanks so much for the enlightenment.

Those private lenders do they operate throughout the US or regionally or on a state by state basis?

In short how do I find them so I can apply? should I send you a PM or can you answer here?

Whichever is convenient? I really appreciate your time
