I am sure over 95% of users of Xiaomi phones on this thread don't even use Gcam, I wonder the point you are trying to make. Hello all please I need assistance
My mi max 2 shows no service or remove phone from airplane mood when I try to make a call.
Phone is not on airplane mood it recognize the sim and signal strength but will refuse to let me turn on mobile radio power. I have tried the following
1. Click on turn radio power and tried different sims
2. Factory reset
3. Flash the same rom from the inbuilt software updater
Any one with previous experience should assist me thank you

Hmm, strange issue if its hardware.

This rn5 charger Tho.
It takes about 2½ hours to charge the rn5, but when I plugged it to an infinix hot note, it started fast charging.

Please i need someone to advice me on which to buy out of redmi 6, s2 or 5a. And who knows where i can get it asap

I have been using xiaomi for about a year and half now and I have never installed Gcam nor seen any need for it. Only heard of it few months back.

Very soon some people will ask for 3D printing and photocopying capabilities from their phone. They will not mind unlocking bootloader and rooting the phone if they think it is possible.

Your assessment is biased bro and you know that.

1, although gcam boosts the image quality of xiaomi phones, that doesn't mean the phones stock camera don't take high quality pictures. We human beings are insatiable, hence, the need for people to want to push their device to the limit once they know it can be done.

I had to go through the process of of waiting for days to unlock my xiaomi bootloader just to flash the gcam and frankly speaking, I have never used the gcam app to take pictures even though the quality of the gcam pix is higher, this is because I'm perfectly satisfied with the quality of the stock camera and see no reason to have a sharper image quality.


As for the guy who said his phone went bad after update, nobody knows the circumstances that led to the issue except him. Also it will be absurd to expect that all items made by xiaomi will never go bad or have one or 2 defect per batch of production. What we are saying here is that xiaomi phones are less problematic when compared with brands like tecno, infinix, gionee, and that's a fact.

My max 2 is the first snapdragon phone I have mainly used, and it's the first phone that has lasted over a year without visiting the repairers despite the heavy usage and several fall.
