Samsung may be a better known/valuable brand compared to Xiaomi, however in terms of device/product, in my opinion (it's my opinion), Xiaomi is at par if not even better in some instances.
In the end, it all depends on value for money or rather, the individual's valuation of money's worth. A big brand name ticks that box for some while a cost-effective brand ticks that box for some others.

Some Xiaomi midrange phones are better than some Samsung phones of similar specs. That's a fact.

But saying the Mi 10 Pro is better than S20 ultra cos it has similar specs and it's cheaper is very funny you know. I mean, go take a look at both phones again.

wait for a teardown video of both phones and see the reason why the S20 Ultra costs $1500.

Xiaomi makes good devices and cut corners to make them cheap and affordable, but the people attacking me just tend to look at the specs.

If Innoson motors makes an electric car very similar to the Tesla model S, but cheaper. Would you say that it's better than the Tesla cos it's cheaper?

They make nice devices, I own about 3 xiaomi products (not their phones yet), and they should be compared with their counterparts like Oppo, Realme, Vivo and maybe Huawei.

Xiaomi is not trying to make s20. Of a 100 people, only 2 can afford the s20 the rest keep wishing for it. Xiaomi saw that and decided to provide the remaining 98 with a good approximation of that, thus capturing a market s20 can't and making it's money with ease.

That approximation is usually surprisingly good but because it has to be cheaper it's usually a little less.

Look at xiaomi blacks hark and the one with the screen extending to the back to see that xiaomi can indeed make phones that are s20 grade but what's the point of making phones that you'll have to start competing with apple n s20 for.

I tell people that I don't need a s20 now cos I have a device that can perform just as well but I can't say my device is better than a s20 or even equal.
