I wonder when we will start getting new features in devices other than higher processor and camera.
Nothing impressive here.
Features like FM transmitter, projector etc would have been nice.
Increased battery life and fast charging is what I love about it.

It's all about the price point.. stuffing new features will blow up the pricing.

How much does it cost if converted to Naira?
from google rates...

Redmi Note 9 pro
4gb + 64gb
13,000 INR => 64,014.82

6gb + 128
16,000 INR => 78,792.78

Redmi Note 9 pro max
6gb + 64gb
15,000 INR => 73,870.71

6 + 128gb
17,000 INR => 83,677.89 NGN

8gb + 128gb
19,000 INR => 93,472.00 NGN

I don't know if global prices would be like this though. I hope it is.

LOL. That's the phone I'm using now. No custom rooms and this thing with its metal back can get extremely hot.

I'm saving up to 65k and contemplating getting the Realme 6 over redmi note 8. Yes, I've had a bad experience with mtk, but I bought the phone used. My friend's redmi note 5 Pro uses snapdragon 636 and still gets really hot (around one and half years old) tho not as hot as mine.

The design, 90Hz and crazy performance of the G90T are too hard to overlook all for 63k on flipkart.

My sole worry now is custom rom support and gcam. Something the note 8 has without breaking a sweat

I suppose you're talking about the Redmi Note 8 Pro with Mediatek helio G90T. Just like every other phone this phone also heats up a bit after playing games but the processing for sure is fabulous and I have absolutely zero complains to make. Not just snapdragon 636, even I've made a huge mistake of buying a smartphone with Snapdragon 660 but it turned out to be a trash. Not only does it heat up real fast but also lags while very basic smartphone functioning. Half of the times my apps stop working. So trust me you'll be making the right decision if you go for Realme 6 with Mediatek Helio G90 because it is providing the right features in the right budget.

Therein lies the problem. The item was supposed to land on the 26th of Feb but it didn't. It's also not trackable. Even if I go to the post office, what date will I tell them the item landed? Bearing in mind that on the tracking website it's stuck at despatched to overseas destination.
They definitely cannot check all the packages that came in since 26th Feb. I don't mind tipping them if they cud look for it but it's gonna be a tough task telling them to look for sumtn that's not even certain has arrived

Not all Aliexpress items are trackable. But you can track almost all items using 17track. net or track24. net (Even if aliexpress tells you it's not trackable). That way, when items get to Nigeria or your local post office, you'll definitely know. Personally, I use the track24 app which updates me of any latest tracking info. I don't even bother checking aliexpress cos the tracking app is even faster.

Redmi note 9 Pro just released today at exactly the same price but with snapdragon 720G, 5000mah battery, centre punch hole... Sweet!

Guess I'm buying the note 9 pro

Shey when I said it here that SD665 and SD675 were not mates. Some people were attacking me even after I had shown them benchmarks.

RN7 with an older and soon to be outdated SD660 can run PUBG at HD settings while RN8 with SD665 can't.

RN8 pro has made other OEMs to start looking at Mediatek seriously and the Realme 6 with Helio G90T has made a good headway into India.

Now RN9 may come with Helio G70. The Gurus in the house. Is this a good move? Will it be as successful as the G90T.

I have been reading about the G70 and apart from it's not so very good connectivity and lack of UFS, it's CPU and GPU performance completely destroys the SD660 and 665. In short, it's an upgrade. But I still have my doubts. Abeg what do you guys think?
This guy sef. That games have not been optimised for SD 665 doesn't mean you should rush to conclude like a Noob. Even mi max 2 with sd 625 plays pugb in high settings so what's your problem?
