to have put rugged man on that list shows that you probably don't know what rugged man did to Naija musical industry..... that nigga changed the face of rap and redefined it. maybe you wanna list 5 other Nigerian rappers better than rugged man. 2 Likes |

OP I would have totally agreed with you on this list.. But seeing Falana on this list.. Got me thinking over! I just hope you don't think rap is all about good English or so... Take falana out of the list and make a clear point! Again may this not be a Yoruba tribe envy thread.. 4 Likes |

OP, how many have you dropped? I don't listen to music anymore, most of the music out there is just razz and stupidity with beat. The lyrics have no meaning whatsoever but wetin consign Nigerians as long as there is a good beat, even if the musician is saying (you will all run mad), people will continue listening and dancing to it. Even the so -called foreign rappers, what does Lil Wayne's lyrics entail? Plain rubbish. But they are making their money 2 Likes 1 Share |

georjay:It's not even his real accent... He speaks fluent English. But music nowadays is a lot more than orthodox rapping. You have to bring something new to the table to stand out. See Drake, he mixes it up with singing... He stands out. I might agree with a few on your list, but leave Lil Kesh, Viktoh and Falz out of it. 1 Like |

Falz is one of the most intelligent rappers around. He created a whole new style that's quite interesting. Don't be narrow minded. Hiphop was the product of open-minded artists. If they reasoned like you, the genre would have remained in its infancy. I would agree with you regarding Illbliss though. Sometimes, that guy has no depth. He needs to discover himself and stop trying to be another Phyno. 7 Likes |

Dude wat defines hiphop is not lyrics alone (that by d way is 50% sha) but also delivery and life style. To say the truth, we don't have real hiphop artist in naija. With that being said, remove falz, illbliss and cdq from that list. They are manageable I could even manage lynxx sha based on the 1st single he released. An rnb hiphop love song. |
Re: 10 Nigerian Rappers Who Should Quit Rapping And Go Into Trade. by Gabbyraze(m): 10:13pm On May 11, 2016 |
Op remove falz and ruggedman because they are intelligent people who can merge commerciality with good music. If you doubt me,try download ruggedman ft funmbi, can't even talk about falz cos everybody knows how intelligent he is and his music has content too. Pls b4 putting down your opinion, try to do a bit more research.. For illbliss. I think he's caught up with d commercial way of music,I still bump his THAT IBO BOY ALBUM. 1 Like |
