allexy2: First...it isn't the government importing fuel...it is the marketers...the govt gives them dollars at the offical rate to import.(though with falling revenue from oil exports that source is restricted...and marketers have to go parallel). Second....removing the subsidy might lead to savings to build refineries. But if you ask me.,.....it is the private investors where it is at. One more thing....refineries are not built in a year. Even after contracts are awarded...you have to do EIA, pay claims, train staff...etc. And all that takes time. 2 Likes |

This is killing. With minimum wage pegged at N18,000 and prices of food stuffs skyrocketing everyday, as a poultry farmer, prices of ingredients and day old chicks keep jumping up by the day.....no light no security no peace in the country. Where are we heading to? May God save the body , spirit and souls of Nigerians. 1 Like |

Sunnycliff: Truth must always be spoken....no matter how bitter. GEJ kept on importing fuel, did not even build refineries despite having the benefit of high oil prices....and you praise him as some sort of hero? Anyway.....we wait to see if PMB is going to improve refining capacity. And zombies do not exist. Stop watching too many movies. 1 Like |

Referencing 2012 slogan, I want the same set of people to come out en masse again to demand for "palliative measures" put in place before this increase. Nigerians are Nigeria's problem and until we stop deceiving ourselves, development will just be a dream. |

Plans to remove fuel subsidy, Petrol to sell for #145. Hope tinubu and his boys are planning another occupy Nigeria protest at freedom park, ojota, because that was exactly what he did when the previous administration attempted it. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. 1 Like |

Quakertellicus1:bro learn to be analytical and stop saying nonsense... if the importation on pms had stopped in 2011 we would have a competitive market which will lead to building of refineries. A government wI'll not build a refinery while subsidising imported products. Receive sense+ 6 Likes 4 Shares |
