lexyclasy:let the suspect speak for himself or will he tell you if he left in the dead of the night to commit the crime? |

amagunnerfan: you struggle to comprehend a simple piece, and you are the one calling people dumb. very pathetic. where is it stated that they are chevron staff? . you think it will be easy to come out boldly stating the names of the guys arrested if the community leaders are not confident of what they are saying? If you even read the response of the military, it is not difficult to see that they just made a random arrest with the hope of getting useful information. |

mrvitalis: The military or security agencies should do their job and stop harassing innocent people just like DSS Hqt reported killing of Fulani herdsmen in Aba without the knowledge of security leadership in Abia state |

#OCCUPYINGMINDS: #NIGERDELTAMILITANTS...Every time a Crude Flow Station is Destroyed by Militants in the Niger Delta, The Environment is Damaged; Our Land is Polluted and Our Communities are subjected to more hardships...Let the Bombing Continue, who will lose?...The Government of PMB is dragging the Nigerian Economy away from Crude Oil; Lagos State has Joined the League of Oil Producing States and the Northern Part of Nigeria whose Reserves have been cynically suppressed over the years will begin production within the next months to two years. With time, We from the Niger Delta would have destroyed our Lands so much that future generation will curse us their Fathers and Mothers for killing their dreams. Let the Stupidity Continue my People...Don't stop the blowing up of pipelines. Everyone of us thinks that a Blown Pipeline is an attack on PMB and His Government of Change...Insanity on display I must say. Kano and Lagos are Leading the way in Tomatoes Paste Production and Tomatoes don dey scarce shebi? The Northern Landmass alone is about 4 times the entire Landmass of the SS and the SE; Agriculture will revolutionize the North within the next decade...We from the Niger Delta will use our Oil to soak Garri and we think we are punishing Nigeria? Think Again, but Kontinu. I have been reliably informed, that the More Pipeline we blow-up, the more the Resolve of this President to get the Nigerian Economy off oil...The More the Presidency blocks loopholes; The More the desire for alternative Revenue; The More the Nigerian People get pissed off by our Stupidity. The Future is Lost to the Greedy, Selfish Demons of Today. Blow Pipelines if you can, Nigeria is moving on. We have a President who is capable of making the hard decisions and willing to firmly sustain those hard choices. Blow Pipelines abeg. Let Nigeria Suffer and Let our land be wasted. Kontinu killing your own future by your own hands. WEEP NOT FOR THE NIGER DELTA!!! OUR ENEMIES ARE WITHIN!!! |

Exactly what came to mind when I was reading the piece. Chevron should have cleared the air and identify those arrested as their workers and not some faceless community leaders trying to protect their criminal children. amagunnerfan: |

A simple look at the identities of those in support and are rejoicing over the NA brutality against innocent Ijaw people will reveal they are 98% Yorubas, why? Look no farther, look below: "With the war ended, and as a Commissioner in Rivers State, I soon found that the Rivers State for which I had fought did not end my nightmare. In the first place, oil money from Ogoni country (as well as Ijaw country) was being carted away to Lagos, leaving the Ogoni illiterate and backward. This is anti-federalism"~ Saro Wiwa |

And why are they not looking for fulani herdsmen |
Re: Confusion Trails Arrest Of N’delta Militants By Military by tammie24: 11:07am On May 17, 2016 |
mrvitalis:why would chevron staff be bombing their own facilities They need to carry out proper investigation rather than being quick to arrest. Besides shouldn't they be looking for fulani herdsmen? |
Re: Confusion Trails Arrest Of N’delta Militants By Military by Heffalump(m): 11:24am On May 17, 2016 |
Why are we too hasty to react against the military? The Army says they have not concluded investigations but are very sure that theses guys are members of NDA. Sm people are already defending the suspects in custody of the security agency. Whether we like it or not, the military will always be there to protect the territorial integrity of Nigeria. It is only when you count yourself as an enemy of the state that you become jittery. Try nonsense and face the imminent wrath!! Army, please carry on!!!!! 1 Like |

amagunnerfan: My friend don't be too quick to jump to conclusions. Consider the following: 1) The fact that the arrested persons are bonafide employees of the Chevron pipelinw security contractor DOES NOT preclude the possibility that they MAY also be members of Niger Delta Avengers. 2) In cases like this all that the employers/Chevron can do is to confirm that they are aware of the arrested persons as being under their employ BUT CANNOT vouch for their membership or not of the NDA. 3) If the persons were actually carrying out their official duty of surveillance and protection of the Chevron pipelines, WHERE WERE THEY when the Niger Delta Avengers struck? Did they see any unusual movement by suspicious individuals or boats around the pipelines? THEREFORE, the only way the arrested persons can be let go by the NA is after thorough interrogation and investigations have proved BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT that they know nothing about the activities of the NDA in the area. So the guys should say what they know and we the public should be patient and await further development from the Nigerian Army and the NDA themselves. I rest my case 2 Likes |

amagunnerfan: Yeah! No problem. Only that the arrested persons are not likely to be released as that will leave the NA with nothing to beat their chest about. Like my little daughter will say "half bread is better than chin-chin" |
