@ Jarus i will like to suggest that we have the iftar 4 times this year since we had it three times last year so that it will show progression, and try kip me inform as situation unfold ok?

If we have up to 4 sponsors, we will do it insha Allah. But the issue is attendance. Attending the 4 times is hardly possible for many people, meaning the only one or two will be well-attended and others scanty.

Meanwhile, let me initiate the call for sponsors now.

CALL FOR SPONSORS - 2011 EDITION
Salam alaykam waramotullahi wabarakatuhu,
Ramadan 2011 is about one month away and insha Allah this Nairalanders' Iftar event will be witnessing its 3rd edition.
As you can see from this thread, which has been in existence for 2 years now, the maiden edition took place Ramadan 2009 at Mama Cass Restuarant, VI, Lagos and bankrolled by a member(name withheld). The 2nd edition, which took place last year, was done twice. First, sponsored by contributions from a number of members(brothers and sisters), was held at a Restuarant in Ikeja Lagos, while the second was solely bankrolled by Brother Majorola and held at Ikoyi Lagos. They were all very interesting and enhanced brotherhood(and sisterhood) among Muslim Nairalanders.

This year, insha Allah, the trend will continue. We therefore invite heeled brothers and sisters to earn Allah's bountiful rewards associated with feeding fasting Muslims, to seize this opportunity by coming forward to sponsor or co-sponsor the events. Insha Allah, we plan to have at least 3 in Lagos, and possibly in other places like Abuja, Kaduna and Kano for Nairalanders there.

HINTS:
1, The sponsor(s) will organize venue, which may be private house or Restaurant
2, The venue should not be too far, like the Lagos extremes(Ikorodu, Epe etc) may be too far to come. So residents of such areas willing to take up teh challenge may arrange a venue in more accessible areas like Island, Mainland, Ikeja etc
3, Sole sponsorship may cost between 30-50k depending on attendance, so should take note of budget.
