Codes151:no case against him and his boys are bombing. U know wat will happen wen a case is made against him. You know too well that GEJ walks freely today because of the Nigerian factor, in a saner and detribalised society GEJ should be cooling in prison. |

Good news. Glad this organization saw the light by not honoring this man's misrule while in government. |

Wiseandtrue:are all these u are mentioning the criteria for getting the award? Even common sense devoid of ethnic and parochial appendage should tell one dat no good, honest, truthful and competent leader will seek re-election and lose. For the people to reject u shows u underperformed. How can a student who fail to pass his promotional exam get an award of excellence? Is dat not mediocrity? That he chose to step aside after defeat is no merit at all for no one knows tomorrow. Not even GEJ can predict his safety after d election if he refused to step down. That Gaddafi called his people rats and refused to back down, did dat guarantee his life? Whr is Ghadafi today? Only a fool will see death and choose it. GEJ helped no one but himself. |

/ You cannot fo0l the people all the time. Paying a PR firm to launder his image by organizing nonsensical lectures in the mainly obscure places in the West cannot wipe away his inanities. The charlatans that pour encomium on him for supervising the looting of their commonwealth are not fairing any better either. For one, they are currently living the resultant effects of the cluelessness of the inebriated one. Like they say, " you can't eat your cake and have it". Nigerians are asking Buhari to provide the cake eaten by Jonathan and his co-travellers. SMH \ 1 Like |

Vanguard is very wicked "Allegations of massive corruption under his
administration presently being investigated
and prosecuted by the EFCC may have cost
Jonathan the prize." See how some people hero was degraded. |

bigtt76:/ Jonathan doesn't need the money. He stole more than enough. He cherishes relevance which continues to elude him. Can you imagine Jonathan that used to read speeches with monotonous boredom during his tenure giving speeches? I can't help but laugh. Who are his audience? The same Jonathan that stutters and shakes in the presence of Chris Amanpour of CNN? The new Yoruba Oba in US has more clout than Mr. Jonathan. Yep! That's how low Jonathan sank. Politicians in the West, not that they are any better, can see through the charade and avoid Jonathan to avoid uproar in their constituencies for identifying with the slowpoke of the BringBackOurGirls saga. People in the West are not swayed by stomach infrastructure like their poverty-striken counterparts in Nigeria where suckers are abashedly loyal to the provider of their last meal. \ |

Wiseandtrue:According to you, citing the OP, he met the criteria. When did the OP become part of the awarding committee? He lost an election and vacated office on that count and you call that a "big sacrifice"!? Huh? Is the political seat his father's or his grandmother's? You also appear to have forgotten that he had the election postponed and gave a flimsy excuse for that? Or is it Orubebe that has escaped your mind? Or the fiasco that was in Rivers? Or the looting of public funds to buy votes? |

The organizers of the award want Excellence while most Nigerians don't know what the word 'excellence' means and calling for the award to be given to the most corrupt president and minister of finance in the history of Nigeria. This is the same way they have arm-twisted their way to all the awards they have received in the past, all they had to do is, shout 'discrimination' or pay for it and some spineless award organizers will have to drop the award for them. Unfortunately that didn't work with Mo Ibrahim, so watch all kinds of tantrums thrown at the organizers. Buhari stands to receive it if he doesn't mess up. I commend this man for standing his ground and not giving to intimidation and bribery, cos I'm sure they would have offered him 10x the amount just for the bragging right that comes with the award. |
