The story of Nigeria reminds me of the beautiful novel...#The Animal Farm! In the Animal farm, Napoleon is always right. Whoever that goes against Napoleon, is subject to attack by the trained police dogs. Snowball was lucky not to be castrated by the fiercely trained tyranny dogs of Napoleon. He escaped through a hole and never returned to the Animal Farm again. Napoleon ruled Animal farm with the iron fist. He destroyed every legacy and his boxer zombies continued toiling hoping to build the windmill that never was. The Animal Farm finally collapsed and went into recession. Yet, guess what...? ......#Napoleon's zombies kept gathering stones for the wind mill. |

mykl01:I'm sure you do not know the meaning of perjury nor do you know the process leading to freezing the account and spewing ignorance in support of a thieving rogue of a governor is a worse crime any sane man can commit. We challenge you and Fayose to go to court or expose the contents of the accounts for the public to see . 3 Likes |

spencekat: 1.The enabling law that created the EFCC gives the power to freeze any bank account that is under investigation, this does not require any court order. 2. SECTION 308 of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution ONLY gives Immunity to President, his Vice, Governors of states and their duties against Civil or criminal PROSECUTION while they are in power and NOT against INVESTIGATION. Fayose is under INVESTIGATION and NOT being prosecuted. Get that clear. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I think it will be good we hear from EFCC before taking side. Afterall, his account does not enjoy immunity. He might just be using d said account for fraudulent purposes & from recent developments in d country we know d@ it's much better and less difficult to prevent stealing than recover stolen fund. |

Firstly, we need to clear the air on the reason for this "investigation". On assumption of office last year and while the Insurgency in the North east was raging, the new administration headed by Buhari ordered the EFCC to trace and recover funds that were initially earmarked for persecuting the war but later diverted. The EFCC has been able to trace and recover most of the money, 2.1billion USD from ex military officers, PDP Stalwarts, and now Obanikoro and Fayose. These funds were earmarked by the Office of the NSA for fighting Boko Haram but were diverted to other uses, leading to the avoidable loss of thousands of lives and the displacement of more than 2 million Nigerians from their homes into refugee camps all over the country and in neighbouring Niger and Cameron. So please, if anyone is questioning the motives of the EFCC and crying political persecution, show them pictures of starving kids in refugee camps all over the country and tell them that by supporting the people who are directly responsible for this, they are as well culpable in the deaths of thousands of Nigerians and the displacement and starvation the survivors are suffering. 3 Likes 1 Share |

immunity as the President in a democracy is

Wailing wailer why dont you go and bring back GEJ. Stealing is now corruption. Workers in Ekiti are dying of hunger, Fayose is keeping fat bank account in Zenith, you can not condemn that only to bring GEJ issue here as if when he was president he bought a Jeep for you. ancientbanana: 1 Like |

Re: Fayose's Zenith Bank Account Frozen by nduchucks: 11:36pm On Jun 20, 2016 |
paullo240: If stolen money is traced to any account, it is the duty of the authorities to freeze that account, as the law permits, until appropriate issues around it are adjudicated in court. These Governors have been operating with impunity until now. This is a welcome development - its time to stop thieving Governors from hiding under the immunity clause to loot their states dry. 1 Like 1 Share |

There is no immunity for stealing public fund. You will get immunity if the money in your account is clean. EFCC has the right to investigate the source of that fayose's money in Zenith. Workers have not been paid and their Governor is staching millions in his account and you are here defending him. Some Nigerians are so shameless. No wonder our politicians always take us for a ride.
