Just yesterday, while I was having a chat with a good friend of mine. I said I was contesting for Mr Nairaland and she jokingly called me a liar.

It was obvious i was least likely to go for such contest.

Notwithstanding, that got me ruminating on the essence and reason people lie in a relationship.

I spoke briefly on how such lies could be used to woo a lady in my past thread, though its not entirely necessary. Ladies most times love to hear sweet things. They are generally wired that way, just as we guys love sexy ladies, so they deceive us with make-up and weave on.

Although, not all guys are guilty of such lies just as some ladies also prefer to keep their natural look.

We will all agree that at some point, we've all told some lies just to save our relationships.

For example, i once lied to my over demanding ex girlfriend about my job. I told her i had a terrible female boss who didn't pay salaries.

I knew I had to tell such lies else she was ready to drain my pocket just as she did her parent.

Who else is guilty of this and what lies have you told just to keep your relationship going?

I know we would all claim to be a Saint , so this thread is for us sinners.

There's no doubt i lied at some point in my relationship. This often happens when i'm seeing a side chick.

Funny thing is, its a two way thing. Some girls even lie more and most times they go undetected.

lie is always necessary at a point in time... I'm not saying you people should go and be lying up and down o!!! apart from Jesus... who hasn't told a lie before??

But, I don't lie....Unnecessarily and lying to keep my relationships is filed under that unnecessarily.

There's a saying that goes, if you've never lied to your woman, then you don't love her.

Truths like? Yo know what Bro, I don't just see myself stooping so low. I would rather jealously guard an unpleasant truth from spilling out than being so cowardly lying and if that truth spills out after all, then sorry is the next scroll on the menu for me ...

by keeping my mouth shut actually . on a scale of 1-10 I can say I'm on level 7 truth wise, the 30% deficiency filling the necessary lies respectively.
