OK. So this is my first story. I am not good at writing so I would like the ogas of literature to help put me in order. Constructive criticisms are welcome. Salute to the literature gurus that inspire me. Repogirl, safarigirl, oyinprince, kayemjay, divepine, etc abeg if I no call your name no vex o. ****************10:40am Wednesday July 2012 You don't appreciate the little things I do, no matter how much I try you never seem to see that I am trying. I said trying to be brave and hold back my tears. He dropped the baby on the bed and barked at me, I could see the anger in this eyes as he spoke splashing saliva on my face, his words doing more damage it felt like salt been added to a fresh wound as he said ''you know its in the bible right" yes I know its in the Bible and you are right to do what you want, you are right to divorce me but don't keep me in your house to kill me. My name is Amaka George and I am a pastors wife. This is my story. TRAPPED 1 Like 2 Shares |

24 Hours earlier. Did you call sis pretty, I asked my husband Pastor Dan George, while preparing the baby for mid- week service. Yes I did. Since you don't do your job. I bought you airtime yet you refused to call her. He replied. But I told you I would handle her and you should leave her for me besides I forgot to make the call because I was busy with the baby , you should have reminded me. I said in my defense. AMAKA I am married to a man I love soo much. We met ten years ago and we have been married for five years. We didn't have children for four years but this year God blessed us with a baby girl. She is 3 months old and we named her princess. I am 28 years old vibrant and easy going until the devil crept into my home. My husband Pst Dan as he is fondly called. Is a vibrant pastor, filled with the Holy Ghost and power, blessed with the prophetic gifts and working of miracles. When he is preaching you would hardly sit down. We run a ministry Green Life Church. He is the best pastor I can think of, members love him and I am happy for him. I am the envy of the women in our community and the church. But only if they knew the silent wars I fight within me everyday. My husband is not only charismatic but very handsome too. He is even more beautiful than I am. Six feet tall, well toned abs, four packs I think., spaced teeth, and really glowing dark chocolate skin. He is Tall, dark and Handsome. |

About the argument earlier, I am designated to follow members up, send them smses to remind them of service. Call first timers, direct the choir and sometimes preach. I don't work but I work. A typical day for me starts with a Short prayer, and thanks to my princess am always awake, say past five a.m. getting up during winter is nof fun and coupled with the sleepless nights of continuous nursing . I start by cleaning , mopping my four bedroom home, doing the laundry, cook fresh meals and not forgetting the baby. Some days are good, and I get a little rest but other days I am exhausted. Not complaining though. **** Sis. Pretty, I remember the day she walked into the Church, and immediately something in me just didn't accept her. 3 days later she exposed a Married man in the Church for stalking her. That again confirmed my suspicion. Being a Pastor's wife have taught me to watch those set of ladies that say things to make you feel sorry for them and buy your pity then without knowing you let your guards down and before you know, you start over caring and voilà, temptation. Sis. Pretty had been a member for 2 months but am yet to see that commitment from her. I have called her severally but its one excuse or the other. ***********Ten Years Ago. ************** "Babes make we dey go nau". I said to my friend And roommate Chelsea She continued with her makeup, whether she heard me or not she didn't show it. "how do I look" she asked turning from the mirror to face me. "You are fine" can we go now, I don't want to get there when they are sharing the grace. "Listen babe, you better remove that ugly scarf from your head o, see that Church has one hot youth President and you need to meet him" Chelsea was saying while admiring herself in the mirror for the millioneth time |

Chelsea is one wild chick, we are age mates but she seems to know so much. She parties hard and all but she has a golden heart and she can go through the fire for her friends. She opened my eyes to the world of. "use what you have to get what you want" I am no saint. I grew up with an aunty before her husband sent me out of the house at 16, I moved in with a stranger that offered to accommodate me. A good Christian woman, she had grown up children with the last child being 21, that was where I was turned into a sex slave. Scared to tell my benefactor for fear of being thrown out in the street, I endured. I was happy when I gained admission into the university of Port Harcourt. My joy knew no bounds but it was short lived as I was framed up by her sons and what I feared came upon me. I was out on the street again but this time I was already in school. 'Babe, that my guy friend say him like you o' Chelsea said while coming to join me on our small mattrass. 'Hmmmm' 'Na only hmmmm you go talk?' 'See that guy hol money wella' 'Intact him say make I give you this small thing for airtime' she said handing me some notes, curiosity and hungry took the best of me, I counted and it was ten thousand naira. 'Wow, babe u dey pull my leg abi?' I asked surprised, 'How person go give person wey him never see this kind plenty money' I continued. ' listen babe, the guy na one manager for oil company, him say make we meet for ELTEES tomorrow. 'OK, but I no get wetin to wear. ' no worry, I go give you that my black gown, but no go there go fall my hand o. Open your eye, no go dey shame o, you need the money for school fees, handouts and house rent o. She coached. And that was how I entered into the world of sex, money and alcohol. 1 Like |

*************10:43am, Wednesday 2012********************** 'Do you need special thank you for washing the dishes or for carrying the baby?, is that not your duty as a wife. He barked ' I stress my self to see that you are happy or are you the first woman to give birth and manage a home as well?'' 'Dan, how can you say that? I am not lazy, you say it like there was never a time when I was carrying this family, i am trying, sometimes I just need one hour of sleep. I don't sleep at night because the baby has colic and during the day I beg you to hold her for just one hour yet you refuse. 'Hold the baby? Am I playing?, when am studying the Bible you want me to hold baby, what if I was working in an office where I have to be there by 8am and come back by six? Answer me. he barked I ran out of the room into the bathroom, there I let the tears flow. He wasn't always like this. He loved me I know. But its not his fault. I turned him to be the man he is now. And I guess I have to live with it. *****7:30pm Let's share the goodness in fellowship May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit, rest and abide with us now and forever more. Amen. What a wonderful service that was. I sat at the back holding bthe baby. Over the years I have learnt not to carry my personal problem to the church. So anytime I am in Church, I always have a smiling face. And today was no exception, I still took the names of first timers and encouraged some folks. 8:12pm 'What is in the house to eat' 'There is rice and stew, or soup and EBA' 'Give me eba' We finished eating and he didn't say 'thank you', I ignored him, picked the baby from her bouncer to my room. ********The next morning******* ' good morning' I muttered as my husband came into my room 'Is it so hard for you to say good morning that you are chewing your mouth like you were forced to greet?' I kept quiet and drew the duvet to cover my body, he shifted bthe baby and joined us on the bed. I sneezed and he looked up at me ' what is wrong with you?' 'Nothing am fine' 'Are you OK' 'Yes' 'Why won't you fall sickbwhen you are always fighting with your husband' 'anyways, I have forgiven you for making me angry, you are still my wife' 'Really? I asked 'So you think you didn't offend me as well? 'Listen, I came into your room to make peace, let's forget about yesterday ok' 'Fine, but I have one question for you' 'What is it' he asked 'When are you planning on divorcing me? 1 Like |

Suigeneris93: Forgive me dear. That's british fashion You don't have to lie about it when its just like a slate…. The thing is, people hardly discern the ability to write from the excitation about creative writing. It's a different ball-game |
Re: TRAPPED.... The Story Of A Wife by Nobody: 8:30pm On Jul 08, 2016 |
cultureclub1983: I'm going to skip the fact that you're implying Brits are discourteous and arrogant, I'm sure that's not what you meant to say You could have just read the story and not commented if you had nothing nice to say. Its obvious the op is still learning to write, she'll definitely do better with constructive criticism. I'm sure even the British know the difference between that and being rude. Suigeneris93: Nah ! creative writing comes organically. I'll rather sip on my british tea and listen to karma chameleon by Boy George now, that's fab. than sit and read this prose like a cum lol . As Africa is concerned, i only admire Wole Soyinka. I enjoyed producing his play " The swamp dwellers" at the royal court theatre. All others…………. can sip some brit tea with me darling |

Were you discouraged by that fake British poster above? @wendypenny I started reading your story and was delighted till I found out you suddenly stopped writing. Oya my sister, get a better writing device or Kukuma use ur phone and come and complete this your nice story. If you let just one fake poster discourage you, that means you never start. Don't u see how they usually disturb n discourage other writers here? But most continue to the finishing line and meet applause from the same audience. |

OK. Am back. Never left. Was just discouraged. Thanks to everyone who viewed and commented and special thanks to Loisemm. I appreciate. PST DAN Divorce her? What in the world is she talking about? I met Amaka ten years ago, she was this pretty little thing, I liked her from the first day I met her, she was down to earth, classy, straight forward and independent. She had attended the youth dinner in the church where I was the youth president, after that meeting she was a regular at the Church. She quickly joined the youth and choir department and I took notice of her the more. Unlike some church girls that pretend, she told me about her lifestyle, the men, alcohol et all. But instead of it to repulse me, I loved her the more but of cos I didn't show it. I led her to Christ and monitored her, it took a while though but she became a changed person or so I thought. When our big Senior pastor saw my interests in her, he advised me to leave her alone saying she was not decent enough for me. Several other people too advised me against her but I was hooked already. I can't divorce her. Even though she shattered my heart in a billion pieces, i cant let her go. I don't want my princess to grow up in a broken home, besides, I still love her. Even though she doesn't believe it. ***** four years ago. 'Max how was your flight?' my husband asked while pouring a glass of Eva wine for his younger brother ' Eish, it was very bumpy, but I thank God I landed safely' Dinner is served I announced and they walked together to the dining room. ***later that night*** 'Honey , Max will be staying with us.' My husband said I stopped mid way with the cotton puffs i was using to clean my face and turned to face him. 'How many days is he staying?' I asked 'Days? He is going to be living with us' 'Living with us? Why arebu just telling me? Dont u think i should be consulted before we bring someone into our home? 'Someone? My brother is not just any person, he is family' 'I know he is fàmily but our marriage is barely a few momths old and i think i need some privacy' 'Well, he is already here and i cant ask him to leave'' With that he turned and backed me, signaling the end of our discussion. Having a twenty six year old in the house was not an easy task, max is on of those people who believe that their brither has married you then you owe them your life. From eating and not clearing his plate, to bathing and not mopoing the bathroom, to using my hair cream(from my closet) to not greeting me etc. All these i complained to my husband but he will always say "i will talk to him" but i doubt he ever did, as there was no changes to his behavior. |

Fastword to 2 months later 'Honey i will be leaving tomorrow like we discussed, you know i love you and i will miss you right? My husband asked as we lay side by side on the bed , i smiled even as tears ran down my eyes as the thought of being alone for only God knows how long struck me. 'Are you crying? He asked 'No, am not crying , am fine , i replied visibly shaking now 'Come, come baby, pls dont cry, its for our own good, just give me two months you will join me, i promiise, i need to go there first and see how things are, then i can send for you, 'Ok, *still sobbing* am fine, its well. With that he kissed me, slowly but it was intense, emotions were boldly written with every twirl of the tongue and every nibbling of the lips, it gave way to climax upon climax as i rode on the waves of orgasm. I slept that night not wishing for the day to break, for the dawn would seperate my beloved from me.. My husband has been asked to pastor a church in America, Philadelphia to be precise and He accepted, he has been so happy since the news came. It was a good one, only that i was not going with him immediately. I was not too comfortable with this arrangements as i have heard how people travel abroad and marry white ladies for papers and the rest, or even get taken over by the life there and forget their families. My husband is very decent but then one cant be too sure. ' max, please take care of my wife and dont stress her, she is my wife o, assist her in any way possible, and pls you people should live like family' "There's no problem" the fat fool replied Since my husband failed to call him to other, i learnt to avoid him and tolerate him, some days he mumbles what he calls a greeting, on days like that, i pretend like i didnt hear. ' baby, pls manage this, you know the church did not fund thus trip, once i get there i will send you more money' ' its fine sweetheart, i am more worried about you, you need the money more cos that is a foreign land, you dont know what to expect' 'Still, i cant leave you empty,,please take this, this is one hundred thousand naira' 'Thanks love, i said hugging my husband. 'OK, no more tears, let's go before I miss my flight, Max please come and carry this suitcases' I kissed my husband goodbye at the airport then headed back home with max. |

******present day******** 'Am not here to fight, can we drop this divorce talk, I came to make love to my wife' Am sorry am not in the mood I said, ' it doesn't matter if you are not in the mood I will put you in the mood' With that he kissed my neck, my forehead, whilst I was trying to push him away, the thing is, no matter how angry I am, my body always responds to my husband's touch, the next two minutes saw me moaning and raising my hips to meet his thrust halfway. ' so why are you not happy' he asked cuddling me even as I tried to catch my breath, for a moment I forgot what he was talking about but I quickly recollected. 'I don't like the way you treat me in this house and whenever we disagree or quarrel you always threaten me. Is it because I ... ' Sshhh, speak no further, I cannot threaten my wife, am sorry if you feel that way, it just that I don't like the way you challenge and talk back to me when I say something, its not everything a man says you reply, sometimes just swallow it and keep silent' ' but you threatened me with divorce' ' I was just looking for what to say to make you keep silent. ' its. OK, am sorry my beautiful wife. I love you 'I love you too' ' cone let's go and clean the house. I will help ' wow thanks, but my legs are shaking, you almost finished me' I said as we laughed and walked to the living room. If only apologies last. 2 Likes |

*****four years ago*****" ' babe its been six months my husband traveled o and when ever we speak on phone he keeps saying things are not the way he expected them to be, i told chelsea, ' you sure say your husband want make you join am so? She asked in pidgin. 'What kind of talk is that? I asked her getting annoyed. ' babe open your eyes, no dey for water soap come enter your eyes' 'What do you mean by that? I asked her getting irritated. ' noo vex for me o, i no be your husband wey leave you for here go America o, na him you suppose vex for, or you no know say, most men wey go abroad dey marry whitee to get paper? 'I can see you are not helping in any way, bye bye, am going, I said standing up from the chair i was seating, ' oya sorry jor, you no want person wey go tell you truth, okay i don shut up my mouth, she said pulling me to seat back on the chair i stood up from. So, are you still coming to that party i told you about? 'Party?' ' oh yeah the birthday party you want us to attend, i said recollecting, ' am very busy sorry , i cant make it. 'What are you doing? She querried afterall your husband is nor even around 'My dear, thats even a better reason not to go out or have you forgotten his brother lives with me? ' but you can tell his brother to... ' my dear, forget it am not going. ' OK o. Mrs married woman. Your loss She said sarcastically. ****************************†*********************************************** AMAKA its been one hellish year hubby left Nigeria to philadelpha, and from the look of things i dont know when i will see him, he is not even sending money home, how worse can it get? He says things are tough. I understand, its just that I have also run out of even the last one thousand naira in my account. Chelsea has been of immense help too financially. Got a small time job of ten thousand naira a month to pass the time, lines of worry and anxiety etched my forehead, everything was jist so annoying , ' oga take it easy now, i spoke to the tricycle driver as i see him struggling to gain control of the "keke" in the mud covered road. I wonder if those pot-bellied politicians are not seeing this road and then it happened! The tricyclw tilted to one side, falling, the side where i was and i steppedbinto the med with force, i was angry about my soiled shoes still i felt a sharp pain, alas there was a sharp metal buried in the mud and it tore my feet. Can it get worse than this I thought. Using the small money remaining with me i went to a pharmacy by the side of the road to dress the wound. 'What happened to you? Max asked as i stepped into the sitting room I ignored him and sat down, i have never seen a more selfish person than the fat fool, he has never contributed to anything in the house, when i cook, he eats but the day i dont he willnsay he is going out till one day i caught him at the "joint" where he goes to eat. Out of curiosity one day i searched through his luggage and i was surprised to see the amount of money i saw and this guy cant even contribute to for electricity bills. 'I had a minor accident' 'Sorry o.,how dd it happen? He probed further ' i explained, he excused himself saying he was going to get something and after three minutes came back with a very chilled maltina and peak milk. Wow. The first time this guy is showing any form of kindness to me. ' hear, drink this it will make you feel better. He said extending a glass of malt and milk to me 'Wow, that's a first, so it took an accident for you to be nice to me? 'No, not that, you can take care of yourself but now you cant , let me take care of you now, after all you are my elder brother's wife. ' ok, thank you, i guess i can do witha little pampering ' do you have dirty clothes, i am going to do my laundry 'Hmmm, not really, just my nighties but dont worry, i will wash them tomorrow i said ' i dont Mind doing them at all. With that i gave him the dirty clothes and lay on the couch, still cant believe the instant change of attitude in him ******** 9:40pm*************** ' i think you need to press hot water on that leg, max said coming in from God knows where 'Hmmm, its paining me i dont even want to touch it ' if you dont, it might get swollen,,i could help you massage it ' really?,ok but dont press it too hard. Am already in pains He got the hot water and a hot balm as well, he added salt to the water and started pressing my feet ' are you going to put the hot balm on the wound as well? I asked ' no am going to use it to massage around it. OK thanks. I muttered Honestly, the massage brought some ssoothing relieve to my body, his hands worked magic on my legs that i dozed off, but i woke up about one hour later and he was still massaging my legs ' wow, are you still nassaging, sorry i dozed of but i am going to the room now, i want to sleep. Thanks alot. Good night 'Good night he replied. |
