Brahmos hitting a land target at 300km Guess what is the height of the target ? The red flag should be at waist height Should give a general idea of its sea skimming altitude in anti-ship mode I was once told that it can hit the waterline of a ship if required. 2 Likes

Few people have a military record like this dude! Just so you know King Abdullah 2 is a Sandhurst cadet, tank commander, para officer, flew Cobras and commanded Jordanian specops. As soon as he succeeded his late dad in 99 he set up The King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) is a Jordanian defence company. It was established by Royal Decree on 24 August 1999 to provide an indigenous capability for the supply of scientific and technical services to the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF).https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Abdullah_Design_and_Development_Bureau In their 2 decades they've produced everything from MRAPs,pistols, rifles,NVGs and BPJs and even a redesigned C 295 gunship. A true warrior king! No surprise he does a anti ambush vehicle live fire drill with his son driving. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rml3D-iv0kk He's using that SB AR 15 like a pro!!

To be a civilian shooter in an open carry state is a glorious thing, guys! My younger cuz,my namesake actually lives in Nevada. His mum here in Nairobi used to shoot competitively so he was exposed to guns earlier on. Now he's living and working in Nevada, with a hunting and gun culture-the Mecca of every gun enthusiast. Currently he owns 10 guns used for personal, home defense, hunting and target shooting:a Winchester 30-30 lever and a .270,Mossberg 500,Glock 19 , Glock 45,S AND W .357,the giant .500 revolver,an original FN,a SB AR 15 6.8mm and Barrett 7.62 mm. Every season he uses the the FN for black bear and the 30-30 for elk and mule deer. The sheer depth of choice in the US CIVVY MARKET CAN BLIND EVEN AN EXPERIENCED SHOOTER! Every year new calibres come out: IIRC,in the last half decade the 6.8 mm,6.5 Creedmoor and .22-250 have been enthusiastically received. This year alone there are 38 new clean sheet designs! The struggle is real. Sifting through the huge amount of new products released in this industry each year can be overwhelming. Without a focus and purpose, you can easily lose a significant amount of time and get mired down in the muck.https://www.tactical-life.com/firearms/rifles/38-new-rifles-carbines-2018/ In fact, the gun industry has spawned the crucial gun writing genre of reviews and products critiques of everything from pistol shooting to pro dangerous game hunting. Even better for a shooter,is the annual Las Vegas Shot Show, among the top 25 top trade shows in the US with last attendance of 60K where all the heavy hitters HK,Mossberg,Colt, newer entrants like Barrett Rifles, international players like Walther and Ceska all show their latest pistols, carbines, shotguns and bolt actions. Accessories like holsters, optics and knives while tactical and hunting clothing are also marketed. A closed event let me say he has his connections. http://shotshow.org/ Spare a thought for the overwhelming mind numbing stressful choices faced by innocent hardworking American shooters! 2 Likes

Funny story: A mortar platoon from RSABATT in the FIB (offensive brigade of the UN mission in the DRC) deployed on a southern hill alongside a company deployed on a northern hill, from Nem's north-eastern neighbour. Our guys didn't trust their comrades in the north because they seemed more pre-occupied with "engineering works" to their vehicles at the rear than fortifying their defences at the hill. Anyway, a 4-man Recce team had reported about 200 ADF rebels advancing on that position about a day away. The FIB, comprising of 2 Malawian composite platoons and the RSA mortar platoon, and the P...n company had occupied the 2 highest hills guarding the approaches to the major village down in the valley. Our guys shelled the hill when they saw the Pa..s running down the other side of the hill. Considering the Pak...guys retreated from their position - not for the first time, so I'm told- I wonder how and what they train. 2 Likes 1 Share |

nemesis8u: No but really, these guys came down the hill - on a path they'd prepared- on to their APCs and gapped it. Our mortar guys knew that hill was "a free fire" zone cos the Pa...nis were gone and the ADF were trying to reach the position to replenish. When asked later, they said their UN mandate is to protect civilians and they were rushing to shore up the line protecting the town. hmmm... 3 Likes |
