kikuyu1: Heat mitigation is a requisite for proper functioning of every system/component. I don't think any of the components are power guzzlers so heat dissipation requirements will be minimum. So IMO atleast becz of the sensors it won't have a " crazy " heat signature. 1 Like |

The tunnels of Cu Chi The Viets quickly realised the sheer volume of French firepower only had one outcome and found a solution. They went underground! Throughout Vietnam during the wars with Jean-Fraude platoon and coy sized funnels were dug. When the massive post war struggle began they were enlarged and more dug. The Cu Chi tunnels around the capital, Saigon, now Ho Chi Minh City, were an underground base with space for up to a regiment incl a hospital! The structure was filled with IEDs and booby traps made up of baited poisonous giant spider traps, punji stakes and dead ends. US forces tried flooding and napalm and soon realised the situation demanded one on one confrontations on the VC home ground. Thus were born Tunnel Rats, volunteers max 5"6' to take the battle to the Viets in the humid claustrophobic darkness. Like THIS dude! Armed ONLY with a .45 and a flashlight. [url][http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sgt._Ronald_A._Payne_Tunnel_Rat-Vietnam_War,_1-24-1967.pngurl] Anyway the entire above ground area remained a hotbed of resistance. Now the Tunnels of Cu Chi are almost as famous as the Mara! 4 Likes 2 Shares

Lurker4Long: What has denel got to do here Mahindra had a JV named DLSI with BAE systems which developed the above MPV (2010) At that time BAE systems had a South African subsidiary known as Land Systems OMC (2004) and later renamed as BAE Systems Land Systems South Africa who provided consultancy/technology as per BAE systems work share in the DLSI JV. Testing was done at their facilities in SA. Plus some components were sourced at that time from BAE systems SA. Later Mahindra bought out the shares of BAE systems in the DLSI JV along with the rights (2013) , much before BAE systems sold OMC to denel (2015). And also denel was blacklisted till 2018. 2 Likes |
