While the introduction of TSA is a good move to reduce corruption,it has created a problem in the banking sector as,accounts have been closed, money available for banks to transact business has also reduced, interest that would have been generated is been lost as the TSA is just a dommant"account.Again can anyone help us tell buhari that the focus on Agriculture is just too myopic, the world has moved beyond that stage, industrialization, and a service based economy is the key,The operating profit of google and Amazon in 2015 would fund Nigeria's budget conveniently..The government should also focus on Education and research, the world is now knowledge driven. |

lust, the carnal desires of man, is the source of all of mankind's problems...Mankind; across race, religion and rank, is where it is today because it feels it is free to satisfy whatever desire that crosses the heart...the day mankind learns, lives and loves the sacrifice of self, is the day history stops and eternity begins... |

Seened: The Nigerian economy is heavily dependent on crude oil sales. Price goes up the Nigerian state smiles to the bank. It crashes they panic. God knows the word 'diversification' has become a cliche in Nigerian economic discourse but it still remains the way to go.
An economy like Nigeria's mostly consumes mass goods that are imported. This needs to be gradually reversed. Nigeria needs to locally produce most of what she consumes.
EscapadeNg honestly I am more concerned about how the average middle class or poor Nigerian is adapting to this hard time. The elites albeit affected too can still meet their basic needs. What of the less fortunate?
our economy depends heavily on Agric. Get your facts right. It's govt that depends on oyel People need to start using the cheap education they claimed to pay through their nose for. Less fortunate should use their brains |

EscapadeNg: Nigerians are very creative, I trust we get through this hard times with ease. Agriculture is the only way out but I ask myself can plant cocoa today and harvest tomorrow, if not what will happen to a larger percentage of Nigerians who are living in abject poverty. Our government is sleeping... But I trust the NEEDS strategy if implemented will revive Nigeria Economy. I will share a summary of the strategy policy later today and as individuals, we can begin to implement some. I hope 1 Naira will truly equal to 1 dollar. best time to plant a tree is 4 years ago Next best time is today Td poor can do it or keep complaining 4 years later 1 naira to 1 dollar is not the issue It's what the 1 dollar can do that matters |

nefertitiram: If all of us can stop asking what the govt can do for us and do for ourselves.
D govt has failed us, yes, so won't we survive?
The economy is a theory. All of us should find ways to become self sufficient and attract income in foreign currency. Then our collective wealth will become the sovereign wealth.
The united states economy was built up by mom and pop businesses that have become empires. They don't have as much resources as we have so they looked inwards.
So it's time to shut up, stop complaining and act our brain finally Don de reset |

dhardline: The major problem we still have is that we import so much more than we export. So it boils down to the government to encourage those who import this goods to try and manufacture them locally.Give them affordable land,0 interest loans, low tax rates etc just to help them build and stand firm, this way they will gladly prefer to produce locally as this in turn will creat more jobs but instead what do we get from the government! High and multiple taxes, ban ban ban, oppresion on all fronts. Infact we have a long way to go in this country.
The only business being encouraged now by this government is cattle rearing and we all cant be cattle herders. when ppl are looting left right and centre and you eediots defending the looting how can they release money |

What does enugu export Stop fooling yourself onyenro: When you voted a man who has been docile for 30 years collecting his pension to become president... What should you expect? In 30 years, he wrote no single book, no memoirs, headed no company.. Did absolutely nothing and then you handed an economy worth 100 trillion to him and you expect growth?
First step is he should step aside, then the next person would have to restructure the polity... Anambara is an example of a state that us doing absolutely well despite the others crying wolf over monthly allocation.
For those shouting export.... How do you expect Enugu state to export only to be shared with a lazy kogi? Restructure the polity and economy will move out of recession in two weeks |

Abugab: Simple ways to go: 1. Produce more locally 2. Consume less foreign products and services 3. Govt should massively subsidize local production and manufacturing 4. Offer a single sigut loan to entrepreneurs on small and medium businesses 5. Nigerians must develop the will power to succeed and abhor ostentatious lifestyle which has been our problem too. Banks have had funds for 50 years No result Jus sponsored imports
2. Govt needs to inject loads of money to targeted infrastructure. Power and Transport are critical. It's well tested that we need to spend our way out of recession.
