First of all, we have to repent and change the way we approach these things! Everything in this country is politicized and handled with party fanaticism. Our economy should not just rest on the shoulders of the APC or the PDP or just any party. Now, the APC should swallow their pride, go beyond their party and bring people - anybody be it LP, PDP, APGA, etc - who can help turn this around. Now, we need more hands to do this job. All hands must be on deck! You see, in Nigeria, our governments keep recycling the same people as regards appointment just because of their party loyalty, or religious/tribal sentiment. Do we really look beyond these things to find the right people who are qualified? In fact, I don't know again. 5 Likes 1 Share |

I understand we need to contribute our individual quota but the fact still remain that the largest buck is on the table of the federal govt, as far as u are not as big or huge as dangote and co, the government will determine how far whatever business u are setting up will go, economy policies will determine ur pace and success rate. people should turn to agriculture right? good, let's talk about things that are needed to have a flourishing farm nd how the government controls and affects them. tuta absoluta is wrecking havoc on tomatoes, price of fertilizers have gone up if not doubled. we may decide to put it in individuals, the truth sill remain, we need a smart government with sound economy policy. |

The country needs an IMF bailout. There is massive loss of confidence in the economy due to the inept economic policies of Buhari. The economy's image will be redeemed internationally if the foreign body takes over the management of the economy. |

Nobody should ask me how we should save the economy cos some people claimed that they knew how if we vote them in. The people that put it in this mess should first of all be removed. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Guys please don't fall my hand. This is change! We are still in the change process. We will eat grass soon. After that, in 2023, an election mantra of "De ja vu" or "As it were" or even "Make Nigeria chop again" will be chanted by the next president. Don't even vote for that person too. Just keep on praying. We are speeding, no control. 1 Like |

When you voted a man who has been docile for 30 years collecting his pension to become president... What should you expect? In 30 years, he wrote no single book, no memoirs, headed no company.. Did absolutely nothing and then you handed an economy worth 100 trillion to him and you expect growth? First step is he should step aside, then the next person would have to restructure the polity... Anambara is an example of a state that us doing absolutely well despite the others crying wolf over monthly allocation. For those shouting export.... How do you expect Enugu state to export only to be shared with a lazy kogi? Restructure the polity and economy will move out of recession in two weeks 3 Likes 1 Share |

Simple ways to go: 1. Produce more locally 2. Consume less foreign products and services 3. Govt should massively subsidize local production and manufacturing 4. Offer a single sigut loan to entrepreneurs on small and medium businesses 5. Nigerians must develop the will power to succeed and abhor ostentatious lifestyle which has been our problem too. We either diversify and encourage home produced products or we simply continue in the vicious circle. 1 Like |

Vello:Those who muted the TSA here, knew it isn't for a depressing or depressed economy. That's why dey stayed action. The certificateless one however jumps into the fray, trying to play to the gallery, deprives the commercial circle the much needed funds to keep afloat. The USA spent their way out of the last recession, didn't they? Propaganda won't do what spending should do 4 Likes 3 Shares |

Only two things that should be done to save Nigeria. 1. By Releasing of NNAMDI KANU and 2. By giving Biafrans their freedom. Only when these two thing are being done, things will get better in Nigeria. Think deepfully on these two things I have just mentioned. Everybody in this country knows the fact and yet we are just beating around the bush when they know the major issues that brought about these problems. |

EscapadeNg: As a staunch buhari supporter they guy is not trying at all when economy is concern,he is deficient and inept when economy is concern. Give it to him,he's doing fantastic job in terms of corruption, security and others but economy is really in shambles and seems clueless on what to do. Some of his ministers are not helping,a good example is minister of agriculture, now I expect products such as rice, beans yam and other agricultural product flooding the market cos a nation that cannot feed itself is not serious,we all talk about diversification but little is been done on that area. Electricity only in nigeria will tariff be increased with zero electricity, nigeria docile though but not stupidd, fixed the electricity, let's av minimum 19hrs daily and be surprised how nigerian will pay any tariff. Nigeria is only country in the world where its citizen believe is not their duty in nation building, some see themselves as yoruba, igbo and hausa, some even called themselves Ipob, avenger destroying government properties,no economy will grow with that mindset, the first questions we shld ask ourselves are we ready to continue this unholy marriage ? 3 Likes |

There are pple purposely sabotaging the economy; they are tryimg hard so that PMB would fail. Most of countries depending on oil are finding it hard now due to the fall in oil price. Diversification remains the solution. We have other minerals which if well harnessed can be more lucrative to oil. |

1. We should have bank access to public funds again. We should suspend TSA this recession period. Banks need more liquidity to provide loans to real sector. 2. Govt needs to inject loads of money to targeted infrastructure. Power and Transport are critical. It's well tested that we need to spend our way out of recession. 3. Rice, Tomato, Wheat import substitution by ensuring full local production. 4. Good Naira is now floating. Pmb should forget the stupid currency peg with no sufficient reserves to back them up. 5. Then raise salaries. Purchasing power Must go up to recess recession |

Public works to build the infrastructure that reduces the cost of living/business. That is the only way to turn an economy around.....and I'm not talking about Chinese rails or Julius Berger bridges, all leading to net capital flight. I am talking about mass manpower, 100% local content, low tech projects. Identify an area of competitive advantage such as agriculture and build every sort of infrastructure to support it, rural roads, irrigation canals, storage and processing facilities, etc. |

Let the Govt stop creating fear in people and the economy. Unnecessary invasion of people Privacy in the name of fighting corruption is the reason why economy is not working. It has been penny wise Pound foolish. Look at it from this angle, How much was stolen that we trying to recover? How much have we recovered through this by force by fIre method? As a result thIs ,how much has been lost so far officially through depletion of Our foreign reserve,Loss of revenue through unrest in Niger delta and through the fear Of unknown and uncertain policies in running the nation. |

one of the reason why I love debate among presidential candidate.. check out America, there presidential candidate are subjected to rigorous debate where each candidate will propose and criticise each other policy on economy, security and many others.. back here in Nigeria nothing of such only to propose fake promises. promises that cant be fulfilled.. honestly Here in nigeria we don't have leaders .. what we have are power mongers who play politics of hate, tribalism, religion and are good at imposing sufferness on their countrymen! my advice to this present government is to look for ways to tackle these present challenges by strengthening the naira, bringing foreign investors to invest in nigeria., investing in agriculture, reduction in tax, provide massive employment and ensure security.. these things are not difficult to do my fellow countrymen. our present government lack good economic policy . |

blackpanda:Monies of govt can be monitored even in commercial banks and govt institutions. TSA is a lazy way of curbing corruption. Pple can still divert monies if they want. Is it no what they declare to govt, they will pay into TSA. If agencies receive cash and decide to pay only part, how would your lazy govt know? Go tell your hero to get economic experts to get him out of the mess he alone put himself. You don't hide money under your scrotum to keep it safe in the 21st century 1 Like 1 Share |
