The line-amps have different prices for different makes but I got one here for about N2,500, KU and N1,500 for C-band. It may be cheaper at your end. Just go to any reliable DSTV shop that sell equipment for hotel installations and you will get it there.

Pls can any1 confirm weather 2.4m dish size can receive nile sat in calabar.

I found that sometimes when u blind scan on your decoder, there are some t.p that might not comes, it happens to w3a, until i was given the tp for tv miramar, i did not even know it exist,

so pls help if am missing out on any channel both on w3a and sirus 4

I have read a lot about lnb/in-line amplifiers.
But i need to know what this gadget does in signal amplification.
How much percentage increase can be gained if it is used?
Can it be up to 10% with the strong x series?

Please, don't post the frequency, others have been using it (we should always try to control our exitement). just tell people to blindscan their receivers may be you can give them the time (or alternatively send the TP through sms or email to people you know)

I watched them saturday afternoon, till night, showing South Africa league match.
Remember i said its a feed, on W3a. u can retrac on sat/sunday afternoon.

try using a supermax lnb 0.5 db in place of ur fuji and see.

Remember both birds are off-foot print in Abuja.
W6 is foot-printed in the north west of Nigeria.Now it will not be easy for u to track the two with one dish-1.8m
The lnb for your nilesat is at the prime focus of ur dish I guess. The multi-tagging of lnb on such dish is suitable for birds with strong foot-print in ur area. You may have to change d direction of your dish to W6 and see the signal strength u get first, then you will know if its possible.It will not be easy to combine nilesat and W6 on 1.8m dish.
As the elders of this forum will say, .why not try and motorise your dish?
Nothing is impossible, give it a trial and lets get some f/back from you

(satellite )iin -line amplifier is only used for boosting satellite signal in long cable when it exceeds 300 feet, that is if a long cable is used for satellite instalation there may be a loss of gain between the lnb and the receiver, in line amplifier will be used as a compensation for signal loss , if there is no loss of gain between the lnb and the receiver, there is no need to use in -line amplifier , note if in -line amplifier is not properly used it will reduce your signal quality and it do not increase signal percentage  in receivers ,

I beleive u are not gonig to sell the receiver after reading this post. That decoder of urs is still the best stronge decoder u can think of now. Nothing so special in it but the blind scan is so superb.

Most of these so call installers are still searching for it, they really want to buy it cos of the way it scans.

The choice is urs.
