all,
Congratulations Nigeria!I hope we dont forget to fire Amodu and the NFF,and begin to replace the dead woods in the Eagles.I watched the two matches from Nairobi and Maputo through live internet streaming.the signals from the two venues were very clear.NTA disappointed me so I had to follow the match through live text for 85minutes until I got the live tv links from fifafoot.net.I missed the goals but saw the last 10 minutes and highlights.

I will be in my friend's house in Manchester tomorrow for the fta trip.I discovered that it was Digi tv that they watch here.The over 100 stations are superb with everything you need-sports,documentaries,porn,movies,all European league matches,news,cartoons,etc.It uses Nagravision2 and 3.The codes are imputted manually just like we used to do for ART and Showtime before Echolink came.I also heard Astra is included for NTA,AIT,BBC,and other British freeview stations from Sky.I will give a feedback after my trip.It cost my friend £150 to do everything.I believe fta enthusiasts will do it for half that price.I will give you all the details of my findings.Unfortunately,I dont think the signals can reach Africa.

Enigma,
pls get in touch.I need your advice and contribution.

@toxnaija,
You can do better than that. Why don't you use your FTA knowledge to your advantage? You could also install a digi tv dish and start experimenting too. In particular you could try out Astra 2D and see what gives. Yes?

alancruise, w3a seems 2 b havin some issues. most of d stations on it are very unreliable but d most constant one is Tv Mirammar. 4 now go Africa is on and off most times especialy wen they recently changed there freq. as at now Mbc1 and 3 is not on air.
Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by olason(m): 3:30pm On Nov 15, 2009
Justtobor, so u experiened it too? 4 now I can't say dis is d reason why, or maybe d tps hav virus imbedded in them thereby makin it impossible 4 blindscanning 2 fish them out (laugh). Over 2 our Oga's to shed more light on dis issue.
Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by Nobody: 3:47pm On Nov 15, 2009
I posted a writeup some months back explaining the classes of symbol rates we have and the receiver's abilities in detecting them. If your receiver cant detect any symbol rate automatically until you manually input it, that shows your decoder aint in that class of sr. There are lots of soccer feeds in these classes of sr that major decoders cant detect except for customised ones produced mainly for that purpose. Military satellite communications also fall in this category.

@jayron.
@all

Thanks so much, but that is not exactly what i am talking about,

this is the question once again, I have like 9 tv set in a home and i want to share them to be able to view different channels from one decoder. like what they normally use in some hotels around, whereby someone in room 1 can view joysport and another person in room 2 can watch joynews. without tuning it from the decoder.

thanks

@ All
Am so greatful to God for saving my life in a deadly accident clash that nearly took away my life on saturday night. You guys should follow me to thank God and pray for my quick recovery. Thank God am alive today.
I ll still post a write up of how i was able to distribute signal to all the rooms, 346 rooms to be precise but that we be when i recovered fully cos right now am only typing with my left hand cos my right hand was injured badly.
Moreover if u re having problems with yf dont hesitate to contact me i just found out that some pple maybe be having problems with the the old settings.
@ twinskeeny
What u re asking for should only be achieve by having the same number of receivers as the the number of channels u may need. Its gonna be expensive. Gosh!!! am tired,i ll give u details later.

Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by Ugeh: 2:52pm On Nov 16, 2009
@All

Am still in a shell shock from what happened 2 d Golden Eaglets. Sha, they tried. May be it's because I forgot 2 include them in my prayers. I thought it was needless 2 bother God with dat after asking him 2 help d Super Eagles. But then in all things we give thanks 2 God.
As for the Super Eagles and Amodu, the Glass  house and events hav conspired against us that will like 2 see his back by bestowing him with an undeserved record. "He did not lose any match throughout the qualifiers" True or False?
In my own candid opinion, d Super Eagles have d personnel 2 make us proud. All they need is a force that can panel beat them into d right shape, and shift them into the right gear. Then u have d killer squad of 1994-98. Amodu lacks all these. Hw do we expect a man who could not do well at Olando Pirates 2 perform magic with our national team?
No matter how we try or cry, we can never make ornaments out of gold using Ice cube 2 melt d gold.
My guys, my BP has been too high over d weekend. Make we leave That topic 4 now.

what about e.tv? any info?

@ bodejohn:

Remember the promise u make on d 1.8m and above dish regarding C-band. am looking forward 2 that. i know it will make an interesting reading.

@pito I thank God for your life, may God almigty continue to protect you and your family.

wow you are scaring me already, does it mean that i have to get decoder for each channel? dats going to be expensive, i used to work in an hotel some years back in Abuja, and i believe then that each guest can watch different channels in their rooms. please i need an answer.

thank and may God strengthen u in time.
Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by twinskenny(m): 4:04pm On Nov 16, 2009
@Ugeh, I think the Eaglet striker are a bit selfish, I think they were just pursuing the golden boot and MVP rather than concentrate on team work, that cost them the match,

Is there a possibility to connect a SCART cable with an AV cable so as to pass on video images from a decoder (STRONG SRT 500LT) to a TV with doesn't have a SCART port? Thankx.
