First there was Boko Haram, then Fulani herdsmen, and now blasphemy brigades killing Christians like no man's business.

Free2ryhme: I believe you are looking at it the wrong way. There are always two sides. Now, YES, i agree with you that those guilty of taking the laws into their hands should be tried and sentenced accordingly, especially visiting harm and even in some cases killing those that say things you do not like, they should be taking to court and be killed too for taking the laws into their hands etc, i agree absolutely, but at the same time people should also be held accountable for the things they say and do. If for example you write a blasphemous statement about a religion that about 50 million Nigerians believe in, you should be held accountable for those utterances and be charged to court for maligning or writing malicious accusations about a religion, if you take microphone and stand in front of a mosque shouting and screaming about salvation and how those praying are in error etc, you should be charged to court for intruding on the peace and privacy of others etc and be punished for it as well in a court of law. That is the way to solve it, else we will just remain in this lawless society whereby christians can use microphone and church services to disturb communities all day in the name of worship or service, and disturb others on buses, homes, etc even when you tell them politely that you are not interested in their message of salvation, they go on and on and on in the name of spreading the gospel as well as muslims blocking major roads on fridays for prayers and even ambulances carrying patients that needs emergency care cannot pass through, all that is wrong and should be stopped.

Jehovah witnesses call catholics idol worshippers even in our house's but we catholics don't go about lynching and beheading them we discuss naturedly with them -even in states that are majority catholics.what even pisses me off is that this Muslim dudes only have to shout "blasphemy " and you see their brethren gathering to lunch the Christian guy without even listening to him.The catholic doctrine tells me that Christ is God which,I think is blasphemous to the Muslim .many preachings of Christianity are blasphemous to the Muslim and vice-versa so Mr organs sometimes what the Muslim terms blasphemy isn't necessarily a Christian knowingly disparaging Islam but,its a Christian stating his belief.we are a multi-ethnic country and Islam has been given preferential treatments enough(sharia law ) I think its time the feds draw a line in such matters.

I am sure you did not write this with a deep conviction; smell the coffee, the level of confidence of this people is growing in Yorubaland and its people like Fayose and Fani Kayode who are seeing through the veil just like Afenifere and many Yoruba elders warned Yorubas to be careful about voting out GEJ and today, the rest is history.
Open your eyes and stop shallow thinking because of your hatred for Igbos, it has gone beyond Igbo hate and even the Americans are seeing it.

The infamous riots over Bonnke's crusade in Kano during the 90s - was Buhari president then?

Those Niggas are short tempered and extremely unreasonable once their Prophet or their religion is involved.

I heard a Nigga got de-balled because his pee spelled 'Prophet Mohammad' (SAW) in Arabic on the ground. Since then, I have stopped peeing.

So we should excuse their short temper and intolerance for our peace.

Funny aspect is the nobody knew what the alleged blasphemy was.

Address the cause rather than wasting ur time on the symptoms as that wouldn't solve the problem. The Christians should stop blaspheming cos the muslims don't joke with it. The earlier u take that instruction, the better. Must u insult their religion as if ur life depends on it? Freedom of expression does not include insulting other people's religion.cool let the mentions start rolling in, nonsense.
What kind of nonsense did you post?? Is Nigeria a religious or secular state? If you love religious states so much go and live in Saudi Arabia but this kind of nonsense should not be tolerated in Nigeria. Go to America and go and be killing people because they offended your sorry ass. Bullshit. *spits*

let me tell u atrue life story! in kd after the 2001 sharia riots a christan lady went to central market to buy stuff, after paying for it she found out the mallam seller packaged d wrong item for her and when she went to tell d man his mistakes he became hostile and started shouting 'kariane" (its a lie) b4 u know it all tha almajiri hanging around started chanting the same this and one shouted "allah akubar" and that was it! daggars and dangerous weapon came out from no where, they wanted to kill d lady for "BLASPHEMY" thank god the military were still stationed if not they would ave killed the lady for nothing.

same thing happened in zamfara some weeks ago, people where killed for a so called blasphemy that was actually a lie.
this animals stir up trouble i d guise of religion. i know its part of the islamisation plans they have for this country, to put in fear in non muslims.

See people defending this nonsense. It irks me. I'm sure these people would support the terrorist attack on a French newspaper because it made a cartoon about Islam. People still trying to justify these attacks TO ANY EXTENT are no better than Boko Haram or ISIS. After all, Western education 'offends' them, hence the terrorism.

This blasphemy you speak of is interpreted in the 1999 constitution as a crime whose penalty is lynching?

I'm beginning to think you are not Yoruba but an imposter. You don't have Yoruba interests at heart. Why would you wish your people divided over one enemy because of another enemy? I see, you are the one planted to cause rift among Yoruba. Well, Ibos are as insane as Hausa, we see them as almost the same, (though Hausa are still better than ibos) they both don't have respect for other people, only that ibos are hypocritical cowards who are afraid to face the consequence of their actions.

We are Yoruba first before any religion and that's how it will remain.

N.B I for one won't mind if all ibos are lynched, but just not in my backyard. They deserve every evil that comes to them. See how they are already blaming Yoruba as if we gave birth to them and sent them out to taunt others. Hausa can kill all ibos, it's not Yoruba's problem.

I am weary of all muslims even the yoruba ones cos i knw a day will come when they will turn against we yoruba Christians and we need to be prepared. We can always restructure the Country and go our different ways in this Country. The christians in the south will be happy to let the Muslims go their separate ways.

I am yoruba and i am ashamed i campaigned for buhari even when thoroughly warned by pastor bosun emmanuel. We have entered the cage already, we should just be ready to fight it out.

you need to understand religion and especially its diversity.

When you call Jesus (who Christians consider of same substance as God himself - read about Trinity) just a prophet, you have ridiculed Jesus already.
