According to a video clip by AS's Marta Grinan, Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala was not involved in today's group training with the rest of the squad She has been training individually in a race to fitness, and despite the coach, Jonatan Giraldez, being reported to have said every player was available, the former Liverpool striker seemingly remains in isolated training. Oshoala is Barcelona's joint top scorer in the competition, on five goals with Aitana Bonmati, and a possible absence could come as a big blow to her team's chances of winning their second UWCL title in three seasons.

Deltamani: They are saving her legs for the match. The question is start or off the bench. If u start her and she has to pull up u still have ur subs but if u sub her on and it happens late, it could be disastrous. |

BascoVanVeli: I just hope she gets to Play a Part because she should be starting on a norm but the Hamstring injury just came in at the wrong time.. But from their training yesterday afternoon it’s pretty obvious that she won’t be starting or even getting to play from the bench. |

BascoVanVeli: Look at the nonsense Mariona and Paralluelo is playing, Graham Hansen nor even show face at all… Maybe Geyse, Alexia, Pina and Ana Cno can do something off the bench.. |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 3:54pm On Jun 03, 2023 |
BascoVanVeli: That’s one of the main Aspects Barca is Lacking, they can’t contend with a Very Physical side…. Anytime I see Asisat Oshoala name on the Live chat I jxt da vex inside, they’re all saying we need Oshoala now, but she’s injured. Barca sef, kept Asisat Oshoala fitness level from the public eyes, cause they would have openly said it since that she can’t play not until yesterday that she didn’t train with them. |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 3:55pm On Jun 03, 2023 |
BascoVanVeli: I even asked the Admin of their 2nd page on Facebook, the guy was bold enough to say she’s fit and would play… whereas it was clear she isn’t available |

Wolfsburg aren't even physical normally. But they came with that vibe and the flair of barca is off all of a sudden. They need Oshoala. What a final again Popp vs Oshoala at u20 and now at senior club level. |

Deltamani: I followed their training updates since she got injured. Wasn't surprised at all as she hadn't been in training. Always knew she wasn't going to feature today. Just sad. |

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 4:01pm On Jun 03, 2023 |
daveP: This Giraldez guy might be another Emma Hayes 🤣🤣 Very clueless when it matters the most in Europe By the way Barca players too do sef, Infact all this Spanish Ladies too do, Louis Courtes was doing well, won everything available but the Players said they don’t want him, Barca FA had to sack him, Jonathan is arguably surviving off Louis Labour. 1 Like |

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 4:03pm On Jun 03, 2023 |
Deltamani: I think Jonathan got everything wrong today. He also isn't respecting the Wolfsburg side, hence the 2 goals they conceded. They also unfortunately have players who are just off today. Graham Hansen on a good day will change this game, but she isn't just clicking today. Aitana is also making amateur mistakes. I wouldn't bring Geyse in cause she isn't direct. They need someone on that bench who isn't particularly about dribbling or attempting too many touches but can attack spaces and just go for goals. |

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 4:06pm On Jun 03, 2023 |
Deltamani: To be fair, I think they were still hoping that by some miracle she would be fit enough to play. I think she could even have forced the situation for her to play but she's probably not 100% fit and that's why Jonathan didn't include her in the matchday Squad. |
