I doubt that as a christian you've ever truly thought about the very flawed logic of God answering your everyday trivial prayers.

People ask God for mundane things like
Passing exams
Marrying
Getting a job
Making money
Sunny weather


The list goes on and on and apparently you can ask God for anything(though it doesn't mean he'll always answer you) and when you do get what you asked for, no matter how trivial your request was, you'll instantly think God did it.

"My God has done it for me" is a very popular sentence for the religious, but what they fail to understand is that the moment you claim God answered your prayers it means he left these people

Pictures of starving children in the Biafra war was said to be what made Steve Jobs(cofounder of apple) turn to an atheistic religion. He couldn't understand why any God with a drop of human sympathy would let people suffer like this.
All those seriously sick and starving people, people with real problems that he could have helped. He left all of them to help you pass an exam, marry, get a job, get more money, have a car e.t.c
If your situation isn't immediately life threatening and you said God answered your prayer, then God is a misanthropic being.

These children live in the poorest of poor countries, they have no education, no food, no clean water and for some no parents, the missionaries don't even want to go to these war ravaged places and when they do they only cover a small territory, so most of these people have never even heard of Jesus or even Yahweh. The bolded is why I opened this thread of "stupidity" because of people like you that think those children's suffering is somehow okay because its temporary. Tell me will they go hell too because they didn't know Jesus before death or will God give them leniency to heaven.

Only God knows those who are going to Hell or Heaven. Suffering is not okay and no christian has ever made such claim. You are only looking for non existent basis to tell us why we should not believe in God with you. Moreover, when did temporary and okay become the same thing.

The Christian worldview has an explanation for the existence of evil. No other worldview in the world has such consice explanations.

Atheism can only criticize evil but can not give a reason why it exists.

Evil exists temporarily in this world and the best we can do is to reflect love, peace and grace to others as much as we can.

Jesus said: "Love your neighbour as yourself", not love only christians. If we all swallow our pride and follow this basic commandment, the world wipp be a better place.

It's really simple reasoning... If you accept God helped someone get a job, despite knowing he studied hard, why do you blame man when when evil happens despite man actually having a hand in it.

Why is God exempted when it's evil and given the Glory when it's good? Yet in both cases, the action of man is obvious?

@Lennycool God already handed the dominion of the earth to Man so mans evils on earth are not influenced by God neither has God turned a blind eye to it. He has given us the ability to be sacrificial and have a spirit of empathy but the spirit at work in man is that of Selfishness and greed but Jesus came to break that cycle by renewing our mind to His goodness and Love and that is for those who would be willing to accept His regenerative work into their lives.

Evil will continue to exist as long as man refuses to do good and remains selfish and greedy.

Each one can reach one but most of us know what to do but the spirit at work in man refuses to act upon what the spirit wants....THE SPIRIT IS WILLING BUT THE FLESH IS WEAK...

Its easy to blame everyone but yourself. ...When I was growing up I was fund of blaming everyone for everything but never myself and one day my late father sat me down and told me how life ought to be...He said its not about what you have...its about what you are able to achieve with it...He said life is never fair to everyone or anyone on the same scale BUT THE LAST CAN BE THE FIRST WITH JUST A LITTLE MORE EFFORT....

I have never forgotten those words so in my own little way I have tried to help out as many as I could. I had the opportunity to make my property biz a family oriented biz by employing only my family members and cousins and nephews et all but I chose to employ 32 outsiders ...I have paid school fees for friends children,there was a time I was feeding 7 strangers morning noon and night for almost 5 months and even opened a tab with an eatery then and would deposit in advance so they could go in and eat what they wanted at my expense.

There are too many to mention but perhaps you are doing what I did when I was much younger when I blamed everyone but myself....How many have you helped or been a blessing to without complaining?

Learn to do more and complain less....Join hands with God for your good and the good of the world you have been placed in charge of and stop expecting a free ride or free handouts...Thats dishonest.
