Is sex the most Important thing in a relationship?

Contrary to how our parents boast of the morality in their days, our present generation is arrested by sex and sexual acts. From the television to the telephone, all we see, read and hear is sex and sexually related issues. We no longer dress to cover our unclothedness but to look sexy and flaunt our sensitive parts. Day in day out we see people hawking their "sexy body" to all and sundry.

Our generation is the most active so far in terms of sexual acts. Some people are even tired of the opposite sex that they have decided to try it with their fellow male or female partners. Many relationships have all been destroyed all in the name of lack of satisfaction during sex.

Back to the question, I don't think sex is the most important thing in a relationship, as a matter of fact, it is not even a necessity.
Here are some of the things I call "The basic needs of a relationship".

1. TRUST:
Any relationship not built on trust is surely going to crash and make a bang. It will be so loud that everyone will have to hear it. Before opening your legs or activating your power house, try to build trust. If sex is a basic need of a relationship, prostitutes would have been the happiest people on earth. Our parents did it without sex and so can we. Nothing has changed.

2. Let the love be mutual:
Let the love not be one sided, try to reciprocate. Their are better things to give than your body. We love with the heart not with the genitals people can have sex with even their worst enemies but they can never give them their heart and attention.

3. Understanding
If s/he doesn't understand you, give him or her the best sex and they will still look elsewhere. People are looking for happiness and not pleasure. Try to understand your partner, know what they like and hate and your relationship will have a smooth ride.
