This is to appeal to every southerners that our future is in our hands. A united south is what we need now to stand against northern oppression and divide and rule tactics. We must ensure we work together to restore power to the south by 2019. GEJ was a bad president contrary to our thoughts in 2011 when we supported him massively with our votes. He failed woefully and corruption thrived to the highest heavens during his tenure. Contrary to the believe of our SS/SE brothers, yoruba's did not vote Jonathan out because of hatred or betrayal. He simply under-performed and did nothing for the SW region and even boasted that Igbo's are the backbone of his presidency forgetting that the SW supported him massively in 2011. Buhari appeared to be the messiah but so far, the hardship in the land is so unbearable and there is no end in sight to the present predicaments facing us as a nation. Buhari has no economic blueprint and his style of governance is archiac and filled with bad policies like banning forex for importation of consumer goods and releasing the same scarce forex for Islamic religious pilgrimage. It's a bad situation we are in and we need to co-operate to undo this mistake in 2019. Every one is facing hardship and bearing the brunt of inflation and recession irrespective of our tribes and regions. This is why we need the support of our SS/SE brothers in 2019 to vote buhari out. Let's form an alliance and forget past mis-deeds. We are better united in the south than been ruled by a primitive caliphate who believed they are born to rule without positive results....

You can write in English but not politics. One major thing you failed to capture in your write up is "Interest " . The game of politics is all about Interest and not bitterness. When election comes region presenting the candidates will on the table positions other region are interested in exchange for support. Nobody talks about I like you and I don't like your face there. That is what the game is all about. Election in Nigeria has always been about votes from regions. Take a look at your region on Nigeria map above and do a simple permutations. No region can WIN Presidential election without votes from other region. It beyond social media, you need the contact of a crowd movers in every Region. That what the game of politics is all about.

It would never have worked in the last election, and the reason is Jona was a poor candidate. He was also "SS/SE" candidate. Would your region have voted him out? You can be honest or you can be sentimental.

I am one of the first people to criticise GEJ but that's besides the point; he was a poor candidate but his election presented a unique opportunity for the South, it was a chance for us to become a force to reckon with for the North. No more needing the North to become 'politically relevant', but a chance for us to unite as a region. So what if he was a "SS/SE" candidate? Those two regions make up 2/3s of the South so what's the problem with that? It would have made sense if, after GEJ's tenure, an Igbo person was elected to be the Southern presidential candidate and then a Yoruba person after them.

Anyway, there's no point in crying over spilt milk, what's done is done. I don't believe in the unity of southern Nigeria anymore and would rather concentrate my efforts into achieving an independent Igbo Nation.

There is nothing like using and dumping in politics. It all about interest. If your region play it card well in support of the overwhelming Presidential candidate, it gets juicy positions. No bitterness but interest.
As a matured person in Nigeria you must understand the way this game of politics is played.

It is only the Ibos that understand Northern political manoeuvre, first the political alliance is better between enemies who understand what is at stake. All of a sudden, Tinubu sold his base to the North in a bid to come to the centre, he doesn't under the North like the South East.
